I see the thread title has changed but there's no new information posted - when do we hear about the TQ 120nm Dual battery?

Few murmurs that yeti are also ready to announce a new bike with TQ update. Supposedly around the 14th.

no, that’s only your bosch bike. sorry mate.it's already looking like yesterday's news.
way more than that but less then avinoxSo if they get 400% I reckon that would be sweet.

The new MGs are certainly interesting but this is one area where I would not rush in and be a first-gen adopter. That is one to wait for gen 3.Anyways, it sounds like the TQ might be the new hotness. Of course I'm eager to see the new CVT things, but that's probably a bridge too far for my bike interests.
not in the power department. sl bikes are dead when it launches though. many many months later than what is expected in this thread.Anyways, it sounds like the TQ might be the new hotness.
Rocket science. ApparentlyThe tq app works fine with my 2 tq bikes.
It just connects to whichever one is switched on, if both are switched on it displays both in a list and asks you which one you want to connect to.
fatsos won't like itHas anyone seen what to new TQ's peak power output will be?
Neither will the yankeedoodles.fatsos won't like it
It is "Class 1" compliant though...fatsos won't like it
I find it hard to imagine that it won't be 750w, or 700w at minimum. They're doubling the torque on their current HPR60, and so I can't imagine they won't at least double the power from the HPR60s current 350w. I also don't think they're going to exceed 750w, because of the various hints we've seen that both suggested it won't be a watt monster, and that this collaboration with Trek is "Big Bike" hitting back at the upstart disruptor from outside the industry (Avinox). As a result, they will try to hold the line, along with Bosch, at 750w, as part of the more established/responsible members of the industry taking a stand, rather than engaging in the arms race of the power wars, and they will instead try to compete by improving other aspects of the user experience.Has anyone seen what to new TQ's peak power output will be?
It doesn't look like anything new is coming out here...
Still, it's amazing how few current bikes with the TQ HRP60 are available. I mean, they aren't even introducing any new bikes with that engine anymore. Unfortunately...

As an American, these are often one and the same, but credit where credit is due, at least they are exercisingNeither will the yankeedoodles.![]()
I think you could equally argue exactly the opposite, that fat full fat bikes would be dead - slimline batteries and motors = no need for bulky frames. stiff yes to manage the power, but bulky no.not in the power department. sl bikes are dead when it launches though. many many months later than what is expected in this thread.
… this is the point - the UI/software needs at least the helpful additions, like more than 3 modes for 750W/120Nm (hell, I could use more than 3 for 300W/50Nm).beside more power, some new Softskills would be cool. like the heart rate power control and the smart shifting options as avinox has them.
those were some facts regarding the new bike…I think you could equally argue exactly the opposite, that fat full fat bikes would be dead - slimline batteries and motors = no need for bulky frames. stiff yes to manage the power, but bulky no.
The reality is that the two are simply converging due to common needs.
I'd support this, though I would not expect anything with this update.… this is the point - the UI/software needs at least the helpful additions, like more than 3 modes for 750W/120Nm (hell, I could use more than 3 for 300W/50Nm).
My partner has the Bosch SX (Devinci Troy Lite) and one thing I do like is "Tour mode", which has a much more dynamic feel compared to TQ. Where I might shift up a mode on my TQ, on her bike in tour mode, you simply pedal harder, and as long as your cadence is high enough, the motor responds with more power. I think that's the only mode she uses.I'll admit I'd love four modes.
I'd also be happy with 3 modes if we could create easy to call up profiles.
Yeah, it seems like most other brands have introduced new modes that are more dynamic/non-linear in their power output, so you can sort of get some of efficiency benefits of Eco at lower pedal outputs while having the peak power availability of Turbo (or whatever term you want to use), without having to switch modes. Not sure if your partner's bike has all of the most current firmware updates but it should have an EMTB+ mode too, which I think is the newest/most fully realized version of this. Avinox bikes have a similar mode that I think they call "Auto", and it seems like these types of modes tend to become people's favorites, allowing one to sort of "set it and forget it", so it would be wise for TQ to introduce an option like that.My partner has the Bosch SX (Devinci Troy Lite) and one thing I do like is "Tour mode", which has a much more dynamic feel compared to TQ. I would love something similar on TQ, whether it's an additional mode, or just an adjustment within the existing 3 modes.
