Thanks again, I was planning to run the Cane Creek unless it gives issues or I think I need that +5mm reach that the size chart suggests for my height.

I was more so joking about the "economy" marketing given the prices tags on this stuff overall, but great info followed none the less!

Here is the link to the Works ZS56-EC56 Crestline pairs these with in case anyone wants to ensure they have one for their upcoming build. Looks like Crestline adds $20 for that super cool stem cap that I do NEED!!

new guy here. I was able to secure a RH3 in Alpine Chalk. Pretty stoked about this bike. Question, what size dropper are folks running on their 181.1 RH3? How tall are you/inseam? I'm 6'0" with a 32" inseam. I'm hoping a 180 dropper will be long enough because I'd prefer to slam it all the way. Anyone have any insight? Beginning to acquire parts for when the frame arrives.

Man I thought I was set on mavens but the more I read on them everyone recommends the dominions over them. Anyone here try both?

I’m now thinking dominions with the dseries 203mm rotors front and rear.
not to add any more confusion to your decision, I was having this similar dilemma. Stumbled upon the new Hope GR4 Evo Not a lot of information out there yet, but what is out there is very promising. All the issues that prevented me from going with the Hope V4 have been addressed in this newest revision. I am lucky to live in a town that has great LBS support for Hope, so that is a benefit not everyone will enjoy. However, this brake seems like it checks all the boxes for me- new lever design, power, modulation, light free stroke feel, quality control, easy to bleed, sexy. It does use DOT fluid and is not the least expensive option, but not too much more expensive than the Mavens.

5’10 running a pnw loam 170, i can slam it, a 180 oneup should be able to slam or at least very close to it.

Thanks for the response. Are you riding RH3 or RH2? I know a 180 will slam on a RH3, Troydon posts it on the website. I guess my question is will a 180 be long enough for me at 6'0" and 32' inseam? I'm planning on 155 or 160mm cranks FWIW.

Maybe check out the OneUp guidance and calculator to help out, I will be trying try out their v3 on my .2! It's supposedly "The lightest, longest, smoothest, and most reliable dropper post" and thats all I want in a dropper.

Side note, I found out I dont ride as high on my eeb vs my old "peddlers". These things are so fast I prefer sitting a bit lower for handling vs maximum pedal efficiency.

I am a dropper noob, but I like either pedaling position or dropped and dont like playing around in the in between really. If the wireless droppers had memory for multiple positions I may be scooping one up!

Rh3, I wouldn’t be able to run anything bigger than a 180. Anything longer and there’s to much post that i wouldn’t be able to push low enough in the seat tube.

Yeah GR4's are the best brake I've tried, I'd recommend them over everything 👌

any issues with the 'Hope Squeek'? I like a quiet bike and known Hope's to be on the squeaky side. I'm curious if you noticed this with the GR4?

Nah no squeak, pad squeal or retaining spring rattle you mean?
My rear rotor is slightly bent, that's the only thing making noises haha

New guy here. First post.

I had been wanting an ebike for a while now, but no bike really checked all my boxes. The constant generation change and no backwards compatibility really turned me off.

My want list:

  • Long travel Enduro (165mm+)
  • Hot swappable battery (or at least easily removable for travel)
  • BIG Battery
  • If not big battery, then an extender
  • Full 29r
  • Frame only option
  • Quiet
Crestline was the first to hit that mark. Ibis was a close second with the Oso but all that junk on it really turned me off (light, brake light, and bar mounted screen). I have a Ripmo as my trad (traditional) bike and f*cking love it, so the Oso was almost a go once they lowered the price, but I still wanted to build my dream ebike. The Relay was up there as well, but the small battery and no extender made it a no go for me. As a Clyde, the big battery is a must.

I'm 230ish, 6'1", and have an FTP of 365w (Peloton calculation), so the Avinox was super exciting to me when it was released. It seamed to solve my motor and battery choice.

When Troydon released the 181.1, I emailed him about it, but as we all know the OG customers snagged them all in a day.

Back in early December, I emailed him again asking when the new allocations were being released, and told me to look for an email on the 10th of January.

I got the email at 8:19pm EST but didn't see it until 10pm.

Heart racing logged on to the site and was heart broken to see only a few options left. Kicked tires for 30 min trying to decide what to do (really want Fox). Finally came to the conclusion to pick up the only RH3 option left in a Chalk 29r 450CS 600wh battery RS Vivid Air. I figured if I hate it, change my mind, etc. I can sell it for what I have into it or very near that this summer.

I woke up Sunday with terrible buyers remorse knowing my wife would kill me for spending that on yet another bike, especially after spending a fortune on a new home in Feb 2025 and then another small fortune renovating it myself for 7 months. She has expensive taste. But I decided just not to tell her. I'll cross that bridge in April when it ships. I guess I also have expensive taste.

So here is my current plan:

  • We are one Fuse wheels
  • Berd PolyX spokes
  • Schwaby Radial Tacky Chans in gravity casing
  • Cush Core
  • Onyx Classic Hubs
  • Bike Yoke Revive dropper (its the best on the market)
  • GX AXS Transmission (want Shimano but the Sram power cable seals it. F* all these batteries)
  • Maybe swapping to Vivid Coil since I can get a spring to match my weight
  • OneUp 50mm rise carbon bars
  • Shortest stem i can find, 31.5mm i think is current shortest, but i may do a BMB RR 90mm stem (looks legit)
  • Sensus Meaty Paws grips (the only grip I'll ever use) I've been able to palm an NBA basketball since i was 15.
  • Shi-maven brakes. XTR or XT Levers, Maven Calipers. Ripmo has TRP DHR-Evo and I really am struggling with them.
  • 220 2.3mm rotors or maybe 2.0mm
  • WTB Saddle
  • If I can find them, Cane Creek Electric eeWings in 155mm, If not probably 5 dev or similar.
  • Swap to an 800wh or whatever the biggest available at shipping is

I've never found pedal kick back to be an issue with my Onyx hubs, but I've also never been on a new VPP bike. Either way, I think pedal kick back is WAY OVER EXAGERRATED by the publications and companies selling "Solutions" . If it really were a problem, high engagement hubs wouldn't be so popular. Just my $0.02.

Anyways, I'm getting more excited as the days go by waiting to see what the embargos are, but it sounds like it is a 1200w - 1300w motor that is quieter, and a new fork. I've never ridden Rock Shoxs in 30 years of mountain biking but I'm excited to try.

Is this offered from Works Components? Where did you find this?

The picture is from the Crestline site, page where they sell the Works headset but it's not in stock.

Since I determined I need this stem cap on my bike, I have emailed Troydon already to see if I can get one.. I will let you know what I find!

Spoke with big T today and was told there will be 600w Aviox batteries available in the US shortly. Sounds like before the frames ship, most likely. I definitely think having both will be awesome. 600 for my DD, 800 for adventure days then both for alpine adventures! Might even sell the XCW...lol. JK.

A peek at the tech on the new Zeb on this prototype boxxer? Linear XL to increase the positive air volume?

Personally any changes to the damper are more interresting as I see that as the biggest weekness. The debonair+ seems to work pretty good unless you need a bunch of tokens.

They're essentially trying to replicate this....

What's the max insertion length for a dropper on the new frame? I thought i saw it before but now I can not find it. I know it says you can slam an axs 180, but id like to see if something longer would fit that is not an AXS.

Hi All,
I was able to grab an RH3 and I am trying to figure out the build and what parts I can carry over. Any idea on fork steerer length needed (allowing some spacers).
Thanks
