Ok I figured. I ran the gold one in my dhr evos and loved them. Sucks, I have three sets just chillin in the bin. Now I have the Mavens and they are a different style…
I had a bunch of unopened, and no longer needed, MTX saint pads that MTX let me exchange for Maven pads, since I purchased directly from MTX. Very cool of them to do so !

Yea they are a good company. I had a set of trp dhrs that was weeping oil and MTX hooked me up with some pads. TRP helped me out and actually went way above my expectations, so I cant bad mouth them. However, I switched to Mavens and havent looked back for even half a second!

Maybe I should see if MTX can pull anither switch-eroooski

I wonder if the last updates were done to be fixes for the major update , they probably running test cycles and the software needs tweaking
Getting impatient sherbet really hope it comes out soon

My opinion:

Reminder: There is NO official confirmation that any (firmware) update is coming. There's only a video that disappeared immediately, supposedly from Specialized, but it could just as easily be fake. And there are statements from people (including here in the forum) who claim to have heard something from their LBS and then assert month after month, week after week, that something is coming soon. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is "official" or reliable. So don't be disappointed if, in the end, no "big, great" update arrives.

Perhaps the discussion about brake pads is the only useful thing in this thread 🤷‍♂️😆

Don't destroy peoples dreams and sometimes dreams come true.

The video was from an official Specialized YT channel. It was likely uploaded for internal use only but they forgot to set it to unlisted and thus is showed for everyone rather than only for those with the specific link. It's coming, just a matter of time.

That is a claim. No proof, right?

Lo so e l'ho già visto.

Where did you get this information?

I know that and saw it already. but again- no proof for authenticity of the screenshot or the video.
Beyond an official release, what would “proof” look like?

This comment touches a sensitivity I have about people (far beyond this forum) confusing “proof” and “evidence.” They’re not the same. The YouTube video is clearly evidence of an impending update, but only an official launch or statement from Specialized would be “proof.”

Interested to see that you have gone for an Albert on the front and the MM on the rear. I use this combo is the other way round for summer. Let us know how it works for you. 👍🏽
Currently on the Shredda's for the UK mud fest trails. 🌧
Albert is trail MM is gravity

I run a MM trail upfront and Albert trail on back and I must say it’s changed the bikes ride quite allot it feels alloy more nimble
I have changed my mind I am returning Albert though it got a little bit less rolling resistance and ordering 29 MM trail pro ultra soft but they are not available until february/march and that's ok since the snow won't disappear before mid march.
I want good grip and how fast they wear down is for me not a problem.
27.5 MM gravity soft I'm keeping.
