Looks like you right , just powered up the bike and still version 1.B.4I guess this update is just a preparation to the peak power update coming this month
It might be or it might just be a general update to fix app bugs. We don't really know.I guess this update is just a preparation to the peak power update coming this month
Which version is yours bike polar? In the mean time I'm pimping/preparing to handle the power update of the Levo 4.

Nothing on specialized website mentions 250w. Nominal 250w power would indicate that the bike over a few hour ride would indicate average motor power of 250w, or thereabouts in a consistent long climb. Instead we are seeing 700-800w motor output as members here have reported. I suspect to get around regulations these motors are claimed to be 250w, even thought in USA class 1 can go to 750w, but can sustain much higher power output over a long period of time. These 840w batteries theoretically should last over 3.5 hours of climbing if the nominal power was 250w. I have no problem burning up my battery in turbo in fraction of that time.If USA emtbs had 3x the nominal power of the EU versions we would have heard about it by now. I already said the bikes can sustain a higher output than nominal for long periods but eventually they will overheat and derate.
Even the DJI Avinox is listed as 250w nominal output despite having a 1000w peak output.
Just read the EU regulations regarding w and going from 250 nominal goes so fast it's impossible to notice it.Nothing on specialized website mentions 250w. Nominal 250w power would indicate that the bike over a few hour ride would indicate average motor power of 250w, or thereabouts. Instead we are seeing 700-800w motor output. There is a YouTube s works dyno and motor is putting out 655w to the wheel with consistent pedal rpm. There is no way these motors can be 250w nominal when the are consistently putting out 3 times that power. This is either a way to go around regulations by claiming 250w but peak is much higher or simply not true.
Does anyone have a boundary guard on their bike? Which models?Just read the EU regulations regarding w and going from 250 nominal goes so fast it's impossible to notice it.
This is a EU hack (actually legal today) and hopefully EU don't find a way to make 250 nominel and max.
If you live in EU most lightly you will visible see the 250 on the frame or motor.
Copied from the EU E-bikes regulations.Does anyone have a boundary guard on their bike? Which models?
Which color?Chris king hubs
Nice!! You going to sell those Mavens? I might be interestedIn the mean time I'm pimping/preparing to handle the power update of the Levo 4.

I was wondering about trying these pads. Are they the gold pads?Well done.
I replaced my stock config with CKs laced to We Are One Fuse rims, paired with Push 9.1 and 11.6
These were massive improvements.
I'm perfectly content with the Maven brakes although I use ceramic pads from MTX for better modulation
I’m running the gold and they are excellent. Modulation is good but they can get noisy when hot or wet. I ran magura mt7 and while those are known for modulation, I feel mavens have tons more power which is nice on heavy braking trails. I’m curious if anyone is running red pads and how they like them?I was wondering about trying these pads. Are they the gold pads?
Tune your turbo down a bit. If all the way up in ease of peddling it’s too powerful. Slide the tune to the left, or use auto mode. This bike has a ton of torque and turbo if all the way up csnMy wishlist upgrade for the Levo 4 would be to allow more speed sensors for increased resolution of wheel speed. Seems like it’d be possible to take say, four readings per rotation if users wanted to buy a new rotor and additional magnets. I can notice surging when I’m in Turbo (always) and stuck climbing slowly behind an analog
Not interested.Tune your turbo down a bit.
I get it but it removes some of the on/off feeling while giving you max power anyway. 100/100 means it takes very little effort to get full power of the bike. I love it tho, it’s such a beast! Not interested.100/100 100% of the time. Little surging in atypical situations is okay.
Actually, I use red. The stock sintered Maven pads I found to be obnoxiously grabby and on/off. The red MTX significantly improve modulation. Power decreases a touch with MTX red compared to stock sintered, but not that much.I was wondering about trying these pads. Are they the gold pads?
I concur. Love the MTX Reds!Actually, I use red. The stock sintered Maven pads I found to be obnoxiously grabby and on/off. The red MTX significantly improve modulation. Power decreases a touch with MTX red compared to stock sintered, but not that much.
The reds rarely make a noise. The golds are quiet, quieter than sintered pads, but not red-silent.
Ok I figured. I ran the gold one in my dhr evos and loved them. Sucks, I have three sets just chillin in the bin. Now I have the Mavens and they are a different style…I’m running the gold and they are excellent. Modulation is good but they can get noisy when hot or wet. I ran magura mt7 and while those are known for modulation, I feel mavens have tons more power which is nice on heavy braking trails. I’m curious if anyone is running red pads and how they like them?
Tempted to try them. The golds have so much power it’s ridiculous. My buddy bought Levo Gen 4 to compliment his road bike. I warned him about mavens, he doesn’t do a lot of MTB. Well in a group ride, he was messing with his gps, looked up noticed people stopped. Got on the brakes and ended up flipping and going over the bars. Bike launched him good distance straight into other riders. Point is be careful with these brakes!!I concur. Love the MTX Reds!
