Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

It seems my ohlins ttx22m2 piggy back won't fit :(. This isn't the best news as I only bought it new a few months ago at just under £1k

I'm hoping I can get the main head swapped to the side by side cheap enough otherwise this could be a deal breaker for me. Paid my deposit on a frame only on Monday and this shock document came out yesterday

Imo the ohlins coil shock is hands down the best shock on the market in terms of user friendliness and performance. It's a set and forget shock, no faffing and most importantly no cavitation (*cough cough) just solid fun riding.

I've tried other brands air and coil shocks over the years and always come back to the old faithful Swedish O.

Probably purchased a bulk lot of the motors before the inevitable change of name to distance themselves from DJI for the US market.

The run of Crestlines had both versions of motor used and there's a known difference. "Older" version rattles much more. Rob noted this difference too as he's had both old (DJI Branded) and newer (Avinox branded). He mentions it in some thread here I can't bother to dig up, but it's there.

Congratulations 🎊🎈. Please give us your ride and handling impressions, and please provide your height, weight, details and bike frame size you chose if possible. How does she ride compared to other e-bikes you have had and their size etc. There are not too many reviews from anyone outside of NZ yet.

DVO have confirmed that the Jade X Prime (and Jade X) will fit going by the specifications provided by Velduro. So that's the way I'm going - paired with a 170mm Onyx fork in green.

Thank you I do appreciate the article. Did that article have the riders height somewhere and frame size? Maybe I missed it. It seems the article was from a distributor for Velduro… Do we have any actual owners reviews yet?

One of the photos show frame size is a large.

Yeah had the same plan mate.... remove the Ohlins then bolt into the Rogue.... Callipers to scale reported wasn't what l hoped for.

It sucks big time doesn't it. Kind of annoying really, of all the shocks why would you not make sure that both ohlins options fits... I will let you know on a price for the head swap once I've spoken to my suspension guy today

Hi, I'm 186cm and Rogue is size L. Fits perfect, as sizes run a bit bigger as expected.

@Velduro UK can you please comment on chain length required for size large frame running xo t-type and a 34t chainring please
Was answered before 28 August. 126 links - same across all frame sizes.

But from the Velduro info page:
What is the T-Type chain Length and step possition on the Rogue?
124 Links - Set up position A on AXS, set up cog 21T

Nice brakeset 😍😍, how are you finding the radic? Ive been running them for the last 2 years and absolutely love them.
I love my Radic! Had them about a year now, best brakes ever. Never thought I’d be riding bike and brakes from New Zealand 🧐

It’s here, and I’m loving it!!

Built this thing with old parts that have come off many bikes, most recently a Crestline S180.
I’ve only had one real ride on it so far, and a “atmospheric river” is going to keep me from riding for a bit 👎
But my early takeaways;
-Build quality is great, lots of attention to detail. All bearings were well greased. Torque numbers on all hardware is always appreciated.
-Building this was quite easy and straightforward. Running brake cable in the down tube was the hardest part, and it was quite easy compared to many others I’ve built.
-The packaging was incredible with no plastic to be seen anywhere. All parts were clearly labeled. Even the frame was wrapped in a cloth bag.

Riding it!
-my current setup is Zeb at 180mm, ‘26 Fox X2 (205x65), Radic brakes, WAO wheels Mx setup, sram GX transmission, AXS 170mm dropper.
-this thing is fast and fun up hill, thanks to the Avinox motor.
-the idler pulley makes a little bit of a “growl” when under a heavy load. Not a bad noise, just a new one for me. But shifting has been flawless.
-Downhill this thing is in a league of its own! The mid high pivot seems to turn chatter and small bumps into speed. It feels like your “pumping”’ speed on the way down. I thought my Crestline was the best rear suspension ever, until I rode this. This bike is supple, nimble, poppy and fast. I don’t have much if any motor noise on the way down. The rear suspension is so good, it’s got me looking at new fork options to match.

Gripes
-the limited number of shocks that fit this frame is my only current gripe. I have an EXT Arma and a Vivid Air I was planning on using, and neither will fit. Having to buy a new shock to fit this frame was disappointing. On the bright side the new X2 seems to perform as well as the either of my other shocks, hopefully it will be a reliable shock.

More to follow when the sun shines again 🤙

How did you get this in California? They told me no US importer

We are looking at around £300 for the head swap with a service at mick gardner racing here in the UK

Hope this helps
Thank you my good fellow it's doable! Yes encouraging news.... interested to see this conversion head swap.

I shall definately be getting the head swap on mine as its only 3 months old and I don't want to run anything other than ohlins. Cannot wait till the frames get to the uk
