Cancelled the order and picked up a mondraker crafty xr.

Nice list @DToX, I'm binning the Mavens in favour of some Dominions, Reverb and the usual cockpit stuff. Renthal bars, Burgtec stem/pedals.

Contemplating getting rid of the vivid and chucking an EXT coil on and will likely do something with the forks, maybe a FAST damper upgrade but interested in seeing how the Select+ actually ride first.

The longer it takes the more a set of Carbon wheels appeals though be nice to get it down to sub 22kgs in my size so I'll see what it actually comes in at when I have it

I was on the waitlist for the lite at Fanatik Bike Co and they said their bikes will be at the port in 7-10 days. Add another few days or weeks to clear customs + additional shipping times so late Oct/Nov the bikes will be delivered.

Which wheelset are you thinking?

Maybe some Zipp or Newmen wheels but may jusf ride the stockies til they explode then upgrade to something a bit nicer.

Maybe even just some EX1700s, have them on the meat bike and they are super reliable and a decent enough weight

At least that’s what I tell myself to don’t be frustrated if the bike doesn’t arrive in October as promised.
Already paid for the upgrades:
-Reserve Carbon HD wheels with Dt350’s hubs.
-Fox Podium 170 fork
-Fox X2 shock
-Magura Gustav Pro Brakes with 200 mm, 2.5 mm wide rotors.

I would be cautious with a Standard X2 as a damper. forbidden Bikes or high pivot bikes in general need a certain tune to work well. A stock tune will not work as well.. i had changed dampers on 2 of my forbidden bikes around and they just worked best with a tune either default by them or one near it..

Yes, I already have a 50 mm rise bar, very used to high stack measure already, so I’m going to measure the height before going for a 30/35 bar.

Agreed there.
I saw two of them at sunpeaks a few weeks ago, and they were both spitting copious amounts of oil out of the seals.
And as other mentioned, a box stock tune on any shock is going to be not good on the druid. For off the shelf tunes, a rs vivid coil is about the closest.
I've been very happy with my ext storia v4 on my dreadnought v2.

Agreed on the form factor of the bosch bikes. I just purchased a 2025 mondraker crafty xr, and I'm not sure what they were up to. You could darn near fit two 600wh batteries side by side in the downtube. And they mounted the charge port under the battery, instead of lowering the battery a couple more inches. Seems like pretty low hanging fruit from a design standpoint. The paint is nice though, as is the suspension performance.
