Forbidden Druid - Avinox Powered

This reviewer also says there is rattle with the avinox. Its not just frame specific. Some, not all Amflow, Forbidden, and Crestline owners have experienced some type of rattle.
I think it's dependent on the motor revision, as some do and some don't rattle, let's hope so, cause if all motors develop the rattle after some time that's a bummer, but time will tell right.

One of my thoughts also was, what if the rattle discrepancy between motors has to do something with how much grease is packed between the internal gears, ratchet, etc...

If there is little or no grease the gear backlash is definitely easier to produce then if there is a generous amount of grease in there.

On my v1 Dread it is way more noticable than on my v2 druid. The druid climbs extremely well for a high pivot bike in my opinion...Just checked their page.. The v2 Druid and Dread use almost the identical bearing that the core druid has 2 of. (6902 vs 6903.. different.. ebike little bigger inner and outer diameter, height is the same).. So it might actually not be all that bad :)

It might not be a question a lot of people are asking, but I am curious in how the bike pedals WITHOUT the motor... I have just now seen that the idler pulley uses 2 bearings with doublerow balls in each in solid lube if I am not mistaken... I believe this will add a lot of drag to the bike.. I know its an ebike, but there are some cases where I do love to pedal it without motor.. e.g. in a group with bio bikes, if some slower ppl are joining...
I asked my lbs on an update regarding my T3 Core S4 a month ago.. No updates... asked 2 days ago, no answer in yet.. But as I stated above somewhere, the first drop only had 3 bikes total in s2 and s3 :(
Following, would love to know that also, I kinda like the clean smooth drivetrain feel.

My acoustic bike is a high pivot, Idler bike in the form of a Deviate and I wouldn't say there's a ton of drag from the Idler, nothing worth worrying about for sure

Pinkbike did an idler test and Seb Stott came to a 2% drag conclusion in his testing. Obviously, lots of caveats, but give or take, it ain't much. Rattling motor would rankle me more.

I have no idea what could be causing this, but it could be an incorrectly installed chain or derailleur adjustment.
That's why I wrote, "Let's keep you posted..." :)
Ok, fine I understand, but you still didn't give us the source where you got this information from...so It could be true or not true...

a guy that spoke with a austrian owner in paganella bike park ( trento - italia ). that day he broke 3 chain and another guy same issue on a druid.

I have no reason to lie... my core 3 is arriving in some week so for sure im not a hater :)

But are we talking about the acoustic or electric bike? I don’t see a point if this is concerning the acoustic Druid … I have an Orbea Rallon and this is not creaking at all as my Rise was (and it’s basically the same linkage design)

Core 3 slant grey ohling factory ( yellow lowers ) and ttx coil... maybe one day he will read that discussion :)

Yeah, deposit in the form of half the cost of the bike.

I already have an Avalanche SSD Marz Bomber tuned for this bike in hand, so I'm committed to getting it at this point. It's a custom 210x60mm, with 2.5mm and 5mm stroke spacers to reduce the travel. So can run it at the stock 150mm, ~157mm or ~163mm.
Can you over stroke the druid to 60mm

I'm going to be running two offset shock bushings in the high position cause I think the BB is too low anyway. But that should give more rear travel clearance. Of course I'll put the shock on with no coil and fully compress it to check. If it doesn't work I have the travel reducing spacers available.

I'd be interested to know of this works

If you set it up opposite of the below you would raise the BB.

Just got an email regarding the expected date of delivery. My ordered S4 Core T3 will be in the third drop for sure that arrives sometime in october :) Another month or 2.. I guess I'll go gravel a bit until then haha

That's a shame, I've still not heard any firm date on my S4 🙄

My S3 Core 1 is October too

The dealers don't even seem to have any real dates on when stuff is arriving, just when it shows up

The bikes are being air freighted but battery seperate, still hoping mine comes this month though

Yes I just asked the shop I’m getting mine from if they speak to Forbidden’s about delivery and they said they just wait for them to contact them. Guess they have lots of other stuff going on but would be good to get some definitive times, not quite sure why that would be difficult.

It's a bit crap tbh.

It'll be here when it's here is such a cop out.
but it is? the shop can’t make the container ship drive faster? dates are newer set in stone when you preorder bikes, a good shop would have told you so and of course you need to listen and understand…

i always tell my customers that and repeat it so they don’t just hear what they like to hear. after the order is placed it’s out of the shop‘s influence

The bikes arn't coming on a container ship and a 3 month variation in ETA is massive.

shipping bikes via plane is effing stupid and usually only done for demo fleets etc

atm they usually take the longer route around africa which takes about 3 weeks longer than through the suez canal
