Ya the owner told me most emtb only get about 3000 miles a motor.4 Brose
I whipped them out sent them away. It varied between 10 days and 2 weeks in getting new one back. Yes all warranty so can't complain. If warranty is out a good dealer can you a motor at the price they pay for itI don't see that as a big problem as long as you get a new motor pretty fast.
It's very annoying when it happens and even though it has never happened to my other 3 Levo that all went 8.000km it has happened to far too many.I whipped them out sent them away. That's the most I got 3400 miles on last one I sold in April . Lad opened it up and needed a few parts it's been sold and sold again since then .A well known repairer in UK told me after one of mine went at 2600 miles that was not bad really. Seems Wales and Scotland are the worst in UK something to do with rain I believe.Ya the owner told me most emtb only get about 3000 miles a motor.
Never suspected that is all you get
Yes easy to get put off and at the end of the day it is expensive and if you are counting the pennies it's not very nice. It's very annoying when it happens and even though it has never happened to my other 3 Levo that all went 8.000km it has happened to far too many

Yes I still wonder how some people get over 10,000 on same motor. I have neighbours who love to tell me how much miles they have had with no issues on their Bosch motors. But they don't do anything serious or any wet riding.3813 so I guess should be happy. EP 801 had a few upgrades over the EP8 that was supposed to help.
Sucks they have no parts from Shimano for these
People who do not ride fast, and lighter riders, and people with less elevation change can make motors last. Or really strong people.I still wonder
First time back properly since the wife was pregnant with them (7 years). We’ve got a 10 day holiday without them this year. We went last year but that was a family holiday so no real biking.Ah Morzine that brings back great memories me and the wife had a week at Les Gets just up the road.
A Chrystal Active holiday we were on , don't do them anymore sadly. . Canyoning, via ferrata , rafting etc the choice was yours . I hired a Kona Stab downhill bike seem to remember I could use 4 uplift systems. Yes brilliant holiday that it was 20 plus years ago . Yes reminder I need to get some spares for new levo nothing worse than waiting if something breaks. I think chain ring same as last one . 12 speed chains now though got that but 12 speed cassette needed.Replaced the front chain ring, as it tuned out, pretty simple with the right tool and turning it the right way
New chain was sticking on what must have been worn teeth.
Great pic!Sent mine off some drops.
I broke two of my ParkTool TL-1.2 tyre levers!
I was removing a Maxxis Assegai 29 x 2.5 3C Maxx Grip TR DH casing to fit a new tubeless valve. I know Maxxis can be a bit sticky and I have had them off/on many times before, but on this occasion, it wasn't having it! I did all the right stuff, soapy water, pushing the bead into the centre of the rim etc.
First one lever broke, then another. I managed to get the bead released enough for what I needed to do and to get the bead back on with just the one remaining lever. I was going into the bike shop anyway, so I took all three to show them. They both said that they have never broken a ParkTool tyre lever before. They asked if they might be counterfeit and when I said that I had bought them from them, they had a very close look at the bits and the survivor but couldn't see anything odd. I'd got my previous set free from a bike magazine in about 2009 and when they broke less than two years ago, I bought the set of ParkTool levers. They weren't showing much use. I bought a new set for £4, which was probably cost for them.
EDIT: I forgot to add these pics.
