Pic of the Day

Did some changes. Put Bullit's wheels with Albert's to this and "had" to change drivetrain to GX at same time. I didn't like the Linkglides shifter ergonomics anyway 😀

Old school metal canal bridge. I was told by a grizzled old canal guy that the slot that runs right through the bridge was to allow the rope that was attached to the horse that was pulling the barge to pass through the bridge without having to unhitch the horse from the barge, as the towpath does not go under the bridge.

It wasn't me ..I can be a little bit forgetful..but I'm pretty sure I would remember being with Bill talking to the grizzled old canal guy 😉
You could research the air speed velocity of an unladen Swallow …both European and African. …you never know?😉

It's not a Specialized ! You don't have the change motors like tyre sealant ..
Myself & Wayne might dispute that as neither of us got anywhere near 2k on our first motors ( also Bosch on a Whyte )..both of us on motor no.3 and if history repeats itself if one goes the other will soon follow 🫣

Decided against joining the lads today for their Walna Scar trip ..from the moment it was mentioned a while back ..I've done it a few times and it just don't float my boat ..but Wayne in particular has it as one of his favourite routes ..we are all different ..
I did however meet up with Wayne for brekkie at Southwaite Services with the intention of riding at Whinlatter Trail Centre ( and to pick up my rear wheel which he had kindly replaced the cassette on ) ..but talked myself out of that too in favour of something close to home ..so another Kielder ride ..which turned out to be rather wet ..not raining as such ..just wet ..

Good little ride though ..and the new cassette married to the newish chain, chain ring & jockeys seemed to make a big difference 😂
Hope you Lakeland riders survived / had a great ride 👍🏻
Enjoy your stay over tonight ..
