I'm starting to question your commitment to climbing on the wagon. 😅
Well, I went out for a well intentioned ride.

It was freekin hot ! Like 36 to 38.

So as you do... I detoured to a bar for an orange juice !

As you know that didn't goto plan.

As usual in the French way, everyone buys you more beer 🍺 🍻 before you know it you're the last person in the bar, but the bar maid has given you her number so is was not completely wasted time hiding from the heat.

On the way back.. on a Woodland road section, gravity makes some abnormal adjustments and you find that the immortal Vitus throws you on the ground for the first time - despite not doing your normal stupid sh1t.

So yes, the wagon was very slippery!

In Brittany on holiday. Very flat and very untechnical but nice to be riding with my best friend (my wife 😀)
There's actually quite a few good trails .. it's just knowing where to find them.

The easiest to find and with about 200km's of Trails is Lac Du Guerledan.

If you stay on the south side, that has the most interesting trails. You can do a lap of the lake too if you want a more leisurely ride. You could stop/eat at Abbey de bon repos (coupe of bars there) if you did a lap.

Alternatively, south side, There's the Merlin restaurant for a coffee at Anse de Sordan.

Finding the trails is not east as nothing is marked.

Some bits aren't accessible at the moment.

Here's an older ride with a few of the descents in and other bits. You can setup a route in strava from a ride.

Matt's ride last week has quite a few of the ups and downs in there for creating a route.

DON'T Do "The Punisher". It might have been improved since I last rode it. I think I was the first person to ride it as previously it was only run - but it's Evil and will result in death/extreme discomfort.

Saw this today. Not quite sure how the marketing works.

Presumably it's like the opposite of the water of life ?
I would imagine it does exactly what it says on the tin ..but in a fun way ..probably only about one in every thousand cans has the bad bacteria from the cow that died in the Alpine spring water ..
A modern take on Russian Roulette...☠️😂

That's as much of a scam as it gets. That's just regular tap water they've carbonated and are now selling for a ridiculous, overpriced amount.

I can promise you that water isn’t from the Alps — it's just ordinary carbonated tap water.

Peckham Springwater comes to mind 😆

Did you make it back before the power cut ?

Yes, I had to do a few miles with the power off but luckily that moor I was on was relatively flat, would of been a nightmare if it wasn't. And as a bonus it didn't rain more than just spitting but my god the wind didn't half start blowing, I was expecting a full on thunderstorm as it'd been gorgeous earlier.

Big day in the Royal National Park. Out on my own, so I made it a photography day.

Really charging the downhills
