There is nothing official. It's just indiscriminate DJI turn arounds using forced labour laws. It's just a way to create uncertainty, so people look elsewhere. But obviously the shortages are being exacerbated by the Tariff situation.

This could definitely impact spares and warranty. Not that warranty won't be honoured. Just it could take time to source parts. The problem is the deliberate uncertainty of the way this is being implemented.

I would talk to DJI supplied EMTB sellers. Maybe they are working on paths to circumvent the Govt actions. Including routing through Canada or Mexico. I know some US suppliers of Chinese products have been routing product through Australia, to circumvent Tariff issues, as we have a free trade agreement with China, and only a 10% Tariff with the US. The ports have been reporting a booming trade.
 
DJI issue has nothing to do with tariffs and all to do with Skydio lobbying USA lawmakers to make things difficult for DJI citing potential Chinese spying. They can not get any new inventory into the country with with a camera. They still sell accessories, mounts and batteries but show out of stock for drones and action cams. I’m hoping this doesn’t affect motors but DJI might say fuck it, we’re out completely

Since DJI has spun off the e-bike motor division, maybe they should change names too. They will slip in easier. John Wayne, Yellowstone or the like should do it.

Amazon free return eligible through July 30.
Hopefully by then I’ll have the frame or know I’ll never see the likes of my RS181
 
just send the frames to europe instead and also move the company, would make everything easier for all parties involved. euros get frames to ride and the americans stay american and can enjoy nice made in america parts. win win situation

I bought the last one available. It now shows it’s temporarily out of stock.
The supplier is Bicycle Addiction but it was shipped from an Amazon Prime location, so luckily there’s free return.
It was discounted to $200, so I pulled the trigger.
As you can see in the pic, it shows the Bosch connecter end, but came with the correct HIGO end.

I’m really hoping the link is black.
I prefer my bikes to be only two colors as much as possible. The frame color and all the components mounted to it black.

Samsbike has a good video of it from eurobike on youtube. Assuming that's the production model it appears the link is black.
 
Yah, it seems like DJI noise is coming up an awful lot in recent reviews whereas in the early days it was hardly mentioned.

I’m getting up to speed watching all the Eurobike videos. I think the RS181 color looks even better watching Samsbike. Looks more like a satin aluminum.

I think there might be enough contrast between the frame and the slab grey Zeb lowers to be a really cool tone on tone look. Generally I like a little color but this grey is nice.
 
Is there anyone that would be interested in a RH2 frame? I am considering forgetting my allotment. If someone is interested, I would prefer to coordinate with Troydon to do a transfer.

I am in that group, but I figured I would try here first and if I get crickets, I'll post in there. I also reached out to Troydon to see if he knew anyone that missed out that really wanted one, but I haven't heard back yet. I know he was at Eurobike and preoccupied, and I imagine he could have experienced flight delays traveling back home as the Atlanta Hartsfield airport caused a global disruption over the weekend. If I can't find someone, I'll just bite the bullet and build up the bike and ride it :ROFLMAO:

Out of interest what do you have now? another crestline or something else?

PS I'm sure someone will snap it up. There's a whole bunch of people that wanted one but missed out.

Right now I'm riding a gen 5 Trek Rail+, Trek Slash+, Salsa Notch carbon (also w/ gen 5 Bosch motor...increased travel to 190/180), and the new Spesh Turbo Levo 4. The 1000W peak power of the DJI intrigued me, but now I'm having second thoughts if it's just going to be restricted to 750W. I prefer my gen 5 bosch powered bikes.
