I wish I had got a better picture of this bike but it was built up with a Rockshox Vivid shock, lryik fork, gold trp brakes and gold I9 hubs. It made me want to have this color. I will reach out to see if I can get a better picture of it. You can just make out the brakes in the background.

So in practice there seems to be no penalty for riding in class 3. If you are riding in class1 when you hit 20mph you can feel the power cut, but if you are riding in class 3 you seem to have full power up to 20mph and then reduced 250watts up to 28mph before assistance cuts. On flats and down hills getting to 28mph pretty easy, but add a hill and you can feel that power reduction above 20 mph... in others words you don't floating at 28mphs up hills.
I've got over 100 miles on the gen 4 and there is absolutely no power drop in class 3 mode at any time. Just did 22 miles in class 3 yesterday to test, only passed 20mph a few times but felt the same as riding in class 1. 250w is the max average the motor puts out anyway, says on the motor label, so that is no indicator of a power drop when the screen reads "class 3 250 w". No way you going uphill over 20mph anyway, the bike does not have that much power. So in practice there seems to be no penalty for riding in class 3. In the USA the bike has no power reduction in class 3. i cant speak for the rest of the world, but if you can access class 3 then i think its safe to say there is no power reduction. If you ride in class 3 under 20mph is the power also reduced? Or is it just reduced from 20-28mpg?
But doesn't the screen literally show the peak wattage available when you switch in Class 3 mode. 350W would be 50% (of an S Works) on full power? In the USA the bike has no power reduction in class 3. i cant speak for the rest of the world, but if you can access class 3 then i think its safe to say there is no power reduction.
100 miles on 1 battery? whats the ride time 8hrs? That doesnt seem right.Had another ride on a new Gen 4 yesterday, the motor smooth but seemed very noisy. I spoke with a Spec shop about this and the response was.
“ yes we are aware that there can be a variation in motor noise from bike to bike that’s just the way it is”View attachment 160930not from my ride,
Ok so there you go, that makes sense, the sworks says 350w and the others say 250w.But doesn't the screen literally show the peak wattage available when you switch in Class 3 mode. 350W would be 50% (of an S Works) on full power?

Brazil changed to 45km/h yesterday, but it is necessary to update the system at the dealer. Shimano has been using the 45km/h limit since last yearThink the US is the only country that gets class 3.
Now I know how they felt when everyone kept talking about Amflow!
My Definition of G4 Class 3 from this thread-Ok so there you go, that makes sense, the sworks says 350w and the others say 250w.
No idea like i said it was not my ride, but its in Klm not miles.100 miles on 1 battery? whats the ride time 8hrs? That doesnt seem right.
On average i think the expert is capable of about 40 miles and 5k vert.ng full pwer
the nail polish colour is def marmite oneHere you go. He's the owner of LAB Works. Aka LA Bike Wrench.
I beg to differ - I can easily get into class 3 with just my left hand on the controller. Use your thumb to push up and press the lower button at the same time. EasyLOL, one down side is you can't swap to Class 3 while moving. You have to come to a complete stop. not to mention it takes two hands to find that mode screen.... its the worst
meh my sworks says 250w... probably down to location being outside the US? So it can't be a sworks vs base motor thingOk so there you go, that makes sense, the sworks says 350w and the others say 250w.
that is nominal output not momentary max . I bet if you drop the sworks motor it says 350 on the label.
Also if you record your ride on the app you can see the power output of the motor on the graph and there is no reduction in class 3.
i would remove the all the swatt stuffHi, are there others who have a lot of rattling sounds coming from the front of their Levo Gen 4 bike?
I have gone over and disassembled the entire front of the bike and put it back together, but I can't find the cause of what is making the noise.
Thanks in advance!
ok interesting thanks.meh my sworks says 250w... probably down to location being outside the US? So it can't be a sworks vs base motor thing
Hope cranks fit great and there is a specific offset for each motor but no need imo on gen4 because they already come with 155 cranks. save your $300Thank you to sharing, i was just wondering how fit the bosch narrow hope crancks !!
My has said 250W since day 1 of release, I would like to see pics of the 350W warningok interesting thanks.
Anyone see a review where they said power drops in class 3?
you must have mad skills, or maybe its because I am always fumbling with gloves on. It is the worst scree to access, terrible design.I beg to differ - I can easily get into class 3 with just my left hand on the controller. Use your thumb to push up and press the lower button at the same time. Easy
That's way to close!!!!!!I tried my old Hope cranks from my Gen3 Levo on my Gen4. They fit but the drive side was closer than the non-drive side. I ordered the Bosch Narrow Hope cranks and the distance from the chain stay is almost exactly the same on each side. They fit perfect.
The Hope cranks are almost the same distance from the chain stays s as the stock cranks. Post a pic of the stock ones. I didn't take a pic of the stock cranks. That's way to close!!!!!!
Pull the screen out and make sure all the wires are wrapped with the velcro piece. Mine slipped down and was sitting where the swat bag was.Hi, are there others who have a lot of rattling sounds coming from the front of their Levo Gen 4 bike?

That's a shitty Vala with bad chain slap or something, Bosch gen 5 is dead quiet.A guy on vala with the new gen 5 cx was behind me coming down chunky trail, thing sounded like a bag of nuts and bolts. Idk if it was all motor/ chain slap but it was loud af. Gen 3 levo is pretty silent so hopin the gen 4 is too.
