Tweaked the suspension and put the shock in high progressive mode. Nicer and plusher. Bike is great but I need to work on loading the front in tight berms. Freewheeling still subpar. Will look at whether it's the hub or the brake. Hopefully it'll get freer after a few more rides.
 
Newbie doing wrenching here. I replaced the bar and rear brake lever/ master cylinder due to washing out the front and let go and bike hit a tree that bent the brake lever clamp around and dug into the stock bar hard. Bent the brake mounting base too.

changed out the brake and did my first ever brake bleed. Piece of cake! New bar is a PNW Loam I cut down to 780mm . Feels better .
Put a Schwalbe Magic Mary Radial trail Pro on the front and just finished 18 miles and all is great and working welll. I guess the Assegai is not for me. I feel way more confident on the MM as to the front holding in turns.

I even rebuilt the front fork on Heckler SL while Im waiting for the new motor to be installed. Should have that back in a day or two. Will be very interesting to ride it after I’ve been on the Bullit for a couple weeks. More to come
 
Rode some more today. The bike is so much fun to ride. Jumps like a mofo too, and very much makes up for my skill set.
 
Anyone have any info on Australian delivery for the Bullit's?

I was onto my LBS the day after the official release, but he says delivery not until September - November at best for my size L (I know, first world problems).

I plan to wait as this ticks all the boxes of my dream bike, but the days a ticking over slowly :LOL:!

Where are you? For my XL XO build I’m told August for the blue and Feb for the Black.

I'm in Canberra. Ordered an XO in Large. When they said Sept - Nov, there was no guarantee that mine would be on that shipment tho? They said both colors are coming, but more of the black, I guess we just get what is left over being such a small market.

I’m in Sydney. Told a wait until Feb for black in the top two builds.

Exactly the same here - seems the medium blues have arrived but Blacks are taking their time. My shop was told end of April, then first week of May, now it's just "this month" :rolleyes:

The ironic thing is that had Santacruz said about the "gloss black" having a dark brown sparkle to it when it was released, I'd have probably just ordered the blue instead! :LOL: cba to change my order now though and wait until 2026
 
Anyone replaced their 210mm dropper on large Bullit frame with a new AXS dropper? What size did you pick to account for the battery collar? Pictures would be great to see how it looks?

I’ve ordered and have been told August delivery For my size S. apparently I’ll have the first Small size in the country. and Yeah very difficult wait. Also was told more bikes trickling in in sept October as well.

Any news on yours yet? I tried reaching out to Santacruz to see if they could advise on why it's been pushed back so much but they didn't really give me an answer other than saying they are not sitting on stock. Could be customs holding it up etc.

Nothing. Tweed Valley told me today there's a delay in shipping but that's all I got.

Bike looks very nice, great color, but I don't if it will be sell a lot and do not represent the whole reality. The top tier is using a peculiar carbon version which reduce the weight but for 12k which is not nothing.

The others, more affordable let's say, are really close to 22.5kg, it is just too heavy for 600w to me.

Assuming the cheaper version are going to be the one most sold / accessible for people, it miss the mark to me, like completely.

Have you had more time on this bike? What are your thoughts over more time? I'm so interested in this Emtb or the Orbea Wild? Other than the BB height, they seem about the same geo? I have only test rode a mullet and ride a 29er, but a little concerned to be locked in to a mullet, thoughts?
Does the SC Bullit have good control (or just average)?
Do you think the BB height is to low?
I'm 95kg @ 6'3"
Thoughts on electronic derailleur or Mech.?

I have transitioned to the below linked thread to capture discussions on the bullit from a tips/tricks/setup perspective. Nothing against this thread here... but I have found that it's not intuitive to find these release discussion threads after time has passed because it's not in the manufacturer sub forums. I digress, I am using the oneup 70cc pump, with an aftermarket tire plug tool that I store inside the pump. I also use a oneup EDC in the steer tube of my fork for the remainder of tools etc.

Don‘t want to miss my blackforest brakes. Hint: will be made in Poland in the foreseeable future. 😗
And of course i want to sell the Maven as new.
Everything else except personal contact points as stem / bar / pedals / saddle due to different preferences than stock will be Kept.

Yes a 242mm drop wolftooth. Thought I would have been on a 210 one up at the most but the wolftooth goes in almost all the way.

I am 5’10” and ride a saddle height of 75cm and it just works any lower and it starts to bind on actuation.
 
 
21 miles, 2250' ride. 85% eMTB mode, 15% turbo. Used 80% of the battery.
 
Due to bad weather in my area I tried to finish my build but unfortunately destroyed the braking hose for the Maxima frontbrake. Dang.

With 80$ less in my pocket and several days more waiting for the first ride…
