I have just got my new Amflow PL and I am glad that I have made the right choice when I compared with my old Turbo Levo Gen 2. When I was just about to install a SRAM GX AXS upgrade kit to it, the new firmware had been released. I notice hat there is a new function like an autoshift now for the Pro model. If I install the upgrade kit with an extension cable connected to the motor, will this function work? Could you share the model number of the extension cable? Please note that the derailleur in the SRAM GX AXS upgrade kit is the previous version one, not the latest version.

Has anyone install an upgrade kit to their Amflow as well? Please kindly share your experience.
The motor's expansion port is made for the X0E Derailleur Power Cable (SRAM internal material number 11.3018.028.003). Once you upgrade, you’ll have access to the autoshift feature! If you’d like to buy the cable, just contact an authorized SRAM dealer. You can find a list of SRAM distributors here:
Also, if you want to switch your Amflow PL Carbon from mechanical to electronic shifting, our authorized dealer can help you out!

got my Amflow and I'm a bit electronically challenged when it comes to updating and sim card and such and have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a place I can go to that will explain in better detail which sim card to get and how it is activated and do I need a separate phone plan to get it to work.
2. I'm so afraid of updating firmware and having the bike either connected or not to do the updates. Is there a place I can go to that explain in better detail the steps in order of how to do the updates?
3. if I put a 36 tooth front chain ring, do I need to update something in the app or on the bike?
Thanks very much in advance

1.You might want to use a SIM card that meets the following criteria:

The standard size for a Nano SIM card is: 12.3mm×8.8mm×0.67mm
Please avoid using IoT cards, traffic cards, and directional cards, and generally, roaming SIM cards are not recommended.
Hope this info helps! :)

2. About the firmware update for your bike, you can easily complete the process via Bluetooth connection. Check out the "Avinox App" video at this link: Amflow PL - Product Videos - Amflow (United Kingdom) for some guidance.

3. When changing the chainring from 34T to 36T, remember to update the settings in the Avinox app per the attached image to get the best performance from your drive system.

No it works, it's called smooth shift, was added in the latest Amflow firmware, it works with the DJI motor and it's really very good. I have a pro which came with the GX. I do not know if the power cable is essential, Amflow would need to answer that. I have a feeling it will be needed so the motor knows you asked for a shift and will then spin the crank for you to pre select the gear. Really is a great feature if you have SRAM electronic shift.
To ensure smooth shifting, it is indeed necessary for the power cable to connect from the motor to the rear derailleur to facilitate communication of electrical signals.

By adding a sim and activating cloud storage does it use the bikes sim for data upload? And if so how much data would you recommend I would need on the sim for say 1 month?

I'm pretty sure you would need the SRAM motor for Autoshift. There needs to be communication between the motor and the derailleur. The cable to the DJI motor is just a power cable, IMO.
Thx for your reply, the autoshift is a new feature in the latest firmware update, it works for the pro model and someone has shown it in Facebook. The systems of both bikes are the same, just wonder if it works by adding the cable

I found out that the option of turning off the cloud upload disappears after the update, it seems that we must connect to the cloud if we have the SIM installed. My SIM only have limited data package, I worry that it will use up the data pack quickly. Is it possible to turn off the cloud?

How much data volume does Amflow PL use per month when connected to a 4G network?

Remote control activated: approx. 200 MB per month

Upload of driving data activated: approx. 200 MB per month.

NEW BUG? Hi - just updated to latest firmware - thank you for all the new features - mostly works very well and I appreciate your continued efforts to improve this already brilliant product.

Three things with the new firmware:

1) Max Motor Power is no longer selectable as a display item on a screen - only Motor Power and AVG Motor Power - is this a bug?
2) Ride data now appears to have better resolution (1 second GPS positioning) on the Avinox APP, but when it's uploaded/synced to Strava via the binding, it appears to loose the resolution - like it's only uploading every 10th record?
3) I've read somewhere that a feature I've requested before - selectable charging power modes for low wattage power sources - had been included, but I can't see this feature yet?

Thanks - looks forward to your response.

Paul
Dear Paul, here are the updates regarding your inquiries:

1. The Max Motor Power display option has indeed been removed in version 1.2.0 of the Avinox App. We appreciate your feedback and will consider re-adding this parameter in future updates.
2. After confirming with our senior engineers, the sync frequency for ride data to Strava has not changed; it currently uploads approximately every 10 seconds.
3. The selectable charging power modes for low wattage power sources are removed from this firmware update, but we encourage you to stay tuned for future updates.

You can turn off Bike Connectivity in the Avinox App, but to turn it back on, you’ll need to ensure connecting your bike via Bluetooth.

It takes approx. 400 MB/month while the feature is enabled

I have 36/120 and B like the app says and it works god=)
If you go onto the app and instead of picking the Amflow bike, pick 'my bike is not listed' the enter the chain stay length (445) it then says use position A, as per what Amflow support said. Setting B apparently is for when you have clearance issues on position A.

You must have imagined it... There is no improvement in the positioning accuracy of the original file. The track in the Avinox app is displayed as roughly as before. Also, Strava has never been noticed to degrade the accuracy of the original file. We are still waiting for GPS functionality to be improved.

On the Carbon Pro - with the X01 casette - is the 21T cog (gear 7) the right one to use as setup of the casette ?
This is from the SRAM calculator (SRAM | AXS) - but it might be wrong.

Hello again.
So i updated to the most recent firmware and the temperature measurement display ist still not showing any temperature (all readings current, max, min, show only " - ") as if there is no reading at all.
I remember it working at the beginning (bought last year october)... my shop also has no idea what to do to bring it back.

Things i tried to get the temperature readings to reappear:
  • removed and added the temperature readings from customizable slides
  • disconnect and reconnect smartphone app
  • reset (delete) all settings via the dji display menu
On a sidenote:
My Amflow had a motor cable replacement last year (the manifold between battery, charge port and motor) on warranty because it showed me "non genuine battery" error.

I do not know where the temperature sensor sits but maybe the info helps get down to this issue.

do the app show motor / batterytemperature under info?

Sorry for the late reply.

You can select the corresponding cassette for your setup in the "Cassette" section under "About Devices" in the Avinox App. All the options listed are suitable for use.

Hi @Amflow_Support

!’m looking to replace the rear shock, what size mounting hardware do I need?
The original rear shock is attached to the frame using two Suspension Screws (Hex, M10x16) and two Suspension Spacers up front, along with one Rear Shock Screw (Hex, M15x23) at the back. If you need to buy any extra parts, don’t hesitate to reach out to our authorized stores or email us at [email protected].

Hi @Amflow_Support . I’d love to get a spare battery for my Amflow. Will one ever be made available for sale (in Australia)? If this is not possible, is there a reason why?
I spoke to Amflow customer service using the chat function on the website.
One of the questions I asked was how much a motor would cost me once the 2 year warranty ended.
They told me that motors and batteries were not currently available to purchase separately.
Amflow Chat said:
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer separate sales for motors and batteries, so we are unable to provide specific pricing. For these components, we only provide after-sales services, and the actual repair plan will depend on the specific issue.

Rest assured, even after the warranty period, we will offer tailored after-sales repair solutions for your needs. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Thanks, I’d like to hear it from Amflow. It’ll be a consideration for my next bike, and I’m sure many others’.

No probs, although the reply I quoted was from Amflow on their website.
Post 393 from May 6th in this thread says they are in discussion with DJI to offer standalone Avinox system components, including batteries, in the future.

Works with either
Understand that both support smooth shift in general. Was wondering is the Amflow bike works with both. Only reason I ask is that someone posyed this video and it suggests only X0 works.

I would be really really surprised if XX didn't work, The battery location on the XX is different, or the plug in your case which replaces the battery but thats the only factor affecting fitting. The actual mechs internally are the same, just some carbon bits make the XX slightly lighter
