Dry soil here too. But our farmers do better: Table Top Lines! On Saturday, I did the Belvoir Loop to the west of Grantham. It starts in the village of Stathern and climbs steeply up Stott Hill for about 300 feet before joining the Jubilee Way, various trails and roads and villages before joining the Viking Way for a spell, the Grantham/Nottingham canal. Then a long climb to the highest point for miles around Belvoir Castle then back on the Jubilee way again before descending back down the escarpment into Stathern. Distance 18.1 miles, no idea what elevation.
I saw this field from the Jubilee Way; I think it is a beautiful example of the ploughman's art!

Mind you, he had good soil!
That's why he's called daft gitDid you ride along the handle of a shovel? You have a strong friend.
Ah! You replaced the front tire and removed the white Maxxis. Before the holidays, installed a new specialized remote (the old one + button broke), a 50mm rise Renthal fatbar, replaced the magura rotors with shimano ones (so much better braking force control),new casette, new front chain ring, and chain.
After a year of ownership, I reached 7000 km today. Did 200 km in the past couple of days, still love this bike.

Some riders may prefer a reverse tire position for certain situations.
Sounds like you received a fake Maxxis tire!?Yes, the direction of the rotation is correct, however the front tire for some reason doesn't have any color MAXXIS label on any side. Bought it brand new a while ago.
OEM Maxxis tires have white logos in place of the normal yellowSounds like you received a fake Maxxis tire!?![]()
Very nice ,the two lads I was out with yesterday had the same colour as that they love them.

Played a lot of Badminton late teens/ early twenties..then got right into Squash which I played most evenings at Durham Squash club into my 40's but gave up when my knees needed painkillers before I started a game ( didn't want to become that bloke with the headband / arm & knee bandages
Loved squash never any good but i thoroughly enjoyed all ball games at school. Watching sand volleyball in Rio brings back memories then I got laughed at for walking along the way beach by the lads , no harm in that is there.Played a lot of Badminton late teens/ early twenties..then got right into Squash which I played most evenings at Durham Squash club into my 40's but gave up when my knees needed painkillers before I started a game ( didn't want to become that bloke with the headband / arm & knee bandages) ..went back to badminton in my early 50's but when I started getting knee pain again ..gave up .
I couldn't do genteel ..full on or nothing..
A pity as I loved both![]()

Alcohol shots I hope Zimmerframe. My back playing up for about a week im thinking Sciatica. Ok walking even cycling not good in car though or bed.Played most of my badminton mid and late 20's .. then stopped for 25 yearsA bit like yourself. Played squash but never really got into it for some reason.
Both achilles tendons are ruptured - so pain ...
Arthritis in both knees - so pain ... Though much improving with various exercises. Cycling there and back also seems to help.
Ignoring the overall pain part, the main issue is performance. Your brain starts calculating the pain before each movement and you end up moving far slower - so a lot is about teaching your brain to ignore that as it's going to hurt anyway
Don't really like taking pain killers, though I did discover diclofenac (which is really hard to get) last year, taken before playing is the only thing I've tried which actually made a difference - estrogen (yes ! estrogen) cream also works really well on a general basis.
Last night and last Thursday had added amusement as I pulled my back last Wednesday so I looked even more crippled when going for some shots until I'd managed to get through the cringe phase.
The things we do for fun !!![]()
All I can visualise is @Just gan's beach volleyball .....Padel looks interesting, looks like a mix of squash & tennis but I don't know much about it.
