Bafang M600 Service and Repair

I have really enjoyed some of this E10 build of mine with an M600 motor - it has worked well and recently the PEEK gear broke. This is after 2000 miles so no big issue. Unfortunately 2 months later and I have had endless problems regarding that issue!

long story short - I replaced the gear and all seemed fine untiil I realised I could no longer get anything to work regarding the Besst tool recognising my controller - best guess is that the gear breaking caused a short on the controller unit.
I ordered a new unit from Ali Xpress - and once recieved I added it to the newly built motor. Easy peasy I thought.......

Until I realised that after days of resetting and entering Doda's hacks (pasting a serial like - CRX10N.500.FC3.2A18F8W9287212 or entering 'SN' and trying all software versions) the bloody thing wont read the serial and even worse - the sellers told me it doesnt have one! And when I said that's a defective product - they said it isnt required! Well considering I cannot callibrate the thing - it says callibration failed - and zero parameters can be changed - regardless of the Besst version I try - I think I wopuld rather have a controller with an actual identity!

So a warning to anybody oredering a controller - get one of Chilli Shen perhaps - as I am about to. Not a random seller.

So unless anyone knows how to bypass this issue (controller with no SN - which refuses to be changeable at all) I have 2 useless controllers lying around - hopefully I can get a refund - and I would also love to hear any suggestions before I buy a more legit one.

Hello Damien.

K1 Flash dont care about serial numbers of controller or passwords and will run calibration, also you can flash firmware. A lot bin files coming on SD card.

Consider also upgrade to M560 in the future - much much better motor.

Thanks for the advice and info. My motor died at about 6K miles, sent it off to Bafang and they said they replaced the torque sensor (under warranty) and I just wasn't sure if that was a fluke or about how often parts start to fail on the M600.

Hello Neeko, I have an intermittent issue. When I go to pedal it will "slip" this has happened 4 times. I posted on FB and was told it is the one way Sprag. Could you assist me in how to source the correct part and are there any other parts that I should be replacing while I'm in there? FYI it is a M600 with the Ludicrous V2 controller and "silent gear" Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help/advice you can give me.
