Was out today. 20 horrible miles. Thick mud. At one point was quite funny in the mud, was slowing me down a lot so changed down, increased assistance, and went even slower with the rear wheel spinning in the deep mud. Started laughing so finally gave up and walked a long stretch

The Vaude gaiters that Rob recommended worked great. Dry warm feet all day.

Tried this favourite route of ours again today - was passable no probs. Except the wind picked, rained really hard and I got soaked.

Of course, on the way back saw a customary sight at West Dean through which the River Lavant flows.

Reliable? 4 motors, I'm glad mine is a Shimano!

Nothing is reliable. In the last month three mates on Shimano are waiting for new motors!
My Bosch is starting to get a whiring sound and it's got over 4k on the clock. So it won't be long before it shits itself
