The gondola was closed again and because I was lazy couldn't ride up.

Then I went for a xc ride. Suddenly I came across a fence and there was no way I could find a place to get to the other side of it.
Fortunately, I got under it 😂
and directly onto the lovely stone trail.

Fortunately, the rest of the route was better.

You have to ride further up the road and you will see a trail head where that wall ends ;-)

Domestic Hydraulic Fluid Pressure Overload .....

For everyone who likes someone elses suffering :)

Who would have thought an Olive Oil bottle could explode. New bottle and I had a tiny bit left in the other bottle and topped the new one up. Seems Oil can expand with temperature changes and needs a little air space to compress.

1 Litre of oil all over your kitchen is not fun to clean up !

That's annoying, but most things expand with heat. Certainly wouldn't have expected that though.
Lesson learnt, don't brim it next time 👍

The pain is real; I spent ages messing about with different saddles and saddle position trying to reduce it when I got a turbo trainer.

You know, it's really easy to go off people... :ROFLMAO:

Arizona landmarks just south of the Petrified Forest.
Some pictures from my ride today...
Mount Ord 7,128 feet tall (2,173 m), has a nice dirt road to the communication towers on top and 50 miles North East of Phoenix...
Four Peaks is a giant landmark near town. The northernmost peak (left side) is named Brown's Peak and is the tallest of the four at 7,659 feet (2,334 m). There is also a road that passes just to the left of Brown's Peak with a parking area to a trail to hike around the peaks. It is only around 45 miles from Phoenix and also East North East of Phoenix.
Weavers Needle 4,555 ft (1,388 m) in the Superstition Mountains 50 miles west of Phoenix.
The Needle's shadow reportedly indicates the location of a rich vein of gold, (AKA The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine) and many treasure hunters have searched for it.

Sun came out for a few seconds. Sorry about the bike spoiling the view ;)

Nice long downhill on the left after Hounsom Firs. Still crashed though :( Lost the back end on a mud over chalk corner, but landed on my back with the rucksack cushioning me. 20231217_141118.jpg
