The only reason why the motor is replaced and warranted quickly is because that's how Brose's warranty works, if they wanted to strip and inspect every motor before replacing it, then that's how it would have to be.
I've argued with the dealer regarding other issues with other components not working correctly. I was told the part would have to be sent back to the manufacturer of the part, inspected by them and if they don't think there's anything wrong with it, then your charged.
To me this is totally wrong, the warranty is with Specialized as a whole bike, not each individual component of it subject to the manufacturers warranty of that particular part. Yes that's the case if you bought that part individually, but not when buying a complete bike costing just short of 8k.
Has anyone else been told this by their dealer?
