Interesting... How bad was it compared to the videos posted here?I’ve recently had my motor replaced under warranty and it is noticeably quieter than the one it replaced.
Hey, I guess you are talking about my video nr. 2 from my post #1604 on page 54 right? Not sure we are talking about the same video, you cannot hear this noise in my first video post....It's a longer video and you can hear the noise clearly throughout the whole video. ✌Sorry, maybe I am missing something. Is there a particular segment in the video that points to the problem? I thought you were just talking about the whirling sound from the electrical motor, but after watching the video again there may be something else, but I'm not sure if that's the wheel or something.
Not even in low gears(big cogs) under low pedal pressure? After watching the video from post 1604 on page 54, I believe we're not talking about that ''decoupling sound'' that is normal to me.
There is however an inconsistant noise coming from the motor on on top of the regular high pitch electric sound.
I believe that sound is not normal, but looks like it's not affecting the performance.
Mine is not doing it, only the high pitch electric sound is present.
Yep, slow, lite gear, asphalt, low pressure on pedals these are exactly the conditions where mine does this. You got confirmation from Giant that this is not an issue?@Redlemon - I can reproduce this noise only when riding slow on Asphalt, having a lite gear and very little pressure on the pedal - something that I never doPer Giant this is by design and nothing to worry about.
For those who don't like it I suggest to either get used to it or buy another bike.....
Like I said it's obviously the nature of the Beast to roar like that@Redlemon - I can reproduce this noise only when riding slow on Asphalt, having a lite gear and very little pressure on the pedal - something that I never doPer Giant this is by design and nothing to worry about.

Per Giant: "When the engine is running freely, i.e. without a force-locked decrease in engine power, the behavior shown occurs. You got confirmation from Giant that this is not an issue?
Yes. Your Motor sounds perfectly fine to me.Do you also have the “decoupling" whirling sound?
Like I said in a previous post it is silent uphill and under proper pedal pressure, only under the combo of next conditions(low gear flat terrain, light pressure on pedals) can I awaken the noise.I don't remember hearing that noise, but on my next ride I'll try to reproduce it.
I just listened to some parts of your last 3 videos and the motor sounds pretty normal to me.
Maybe low speed combined to low gear can cause the sound or when having a crazy high cadence, but honestly when you have to focus on doing something specific to reproduce it, I don't think it's really an issue.
I think the Bosch/Shimano motor rattle is wayyy worse than this.
Mine is snug at the top with only a little movement towards the bottom, nothing like that though.Has anyone had any issues with their battery cover, the left side of mine is kind of loose. The right ride is totally fine, sits tight and flush. Can hear this when out on the bike making a noise. Quite sure water is getting in here as well. Here's a video of it.

Loose or not you will still need similar hack to what I made. Search this thread for a solution. It will fix your squicking battery cover and water ingress at the same time.
3m tape is near unobtainable here in aus ,The 3m tape?
The 3m tape?
Expect delivery delays in the UK people....

127 Giant eBikes Stolen from Container in England - Pinkbike
A lorry full of 2022 ebike models was broken into near London, England.m.pinkbike.com
Had the same problem with my cover found there was a third small tab on the left side next to the two large ones. This small tab did not locate in its hole properly so pushing the cover out. On trying to bend it so it would slot into hole it broke off, since then it fits perfectly and with no visible water ingress of any sort. The fitting of the cover is one of my pet niggles as it is a bit fiddly but apart from the app issue is the only real small downer from what is a very good bike although i have had a new battery and charger under warranty all sorted quickly by the lbs.Has anyone had any issues with their battery cover, the left side of mine is kind of loose. I have this exact noise from my e+3. I didn't notice it at all when I was out alone or with friend on ebike but then when I cycled with a friend without an ebike, I was in mode 1 or 2, very low gear and spinning legs to climb and I noticed the noise a lot. I also thought something was wrong with my motor because i didn't notice the sound before. I was.gonna take the bike to the dealer but then I got covid, last day isolation tomorrow so I will bring it soon anyway for a checkover. Here are the vids I promised yesterday ✌》》》

Sorry for the cinematic director's cut phone quality video✌
You might want to check the previous posts about the noise, the consensus is that the noise is normal and there is also a post with a statement from Giant...where they basically tell you what you already know. ✌If your motor works ok and you mostly don't notice it...I think it's not worth it to go to the shop. If you think about it, you mostly probably don't use low gears on flat ground. If you have the noise when climbing then that's a different story...I have this exact noise from my e+3. Yamaha motors tend to be bomb proof, Nick sanders took an R1 round the world without a hiccup!
It is just the clutch /decoupler coming in and out as it's over running the motor.Like I said in a previous post it is silent uphill and under proper pedal pressure, only under the combo of next conditions(low gear flat terrain, light pressure on pedals) can I awaken the noise.
Those are conditions that I almost never ride so it's fine...will go to the LBS to make a remark in the service booklet in any case it worsens. Otherwise I am riding the bike on like it is.
