Was waiting to get a set of these. Where did you get them from? Bit worried about the lugs coming off so easy. Pink bike said the same in there review too

Bike discount. De .

Offered a refund by them but couldn’t be bothered to send it back .
So running it as is still.

Sorry for the late post but does anyone know if the 29 x 2.6 front is actually coming out? I was interested in the 29x2.6 front and rear for my 2019 Levo but cannot find any info on the front being available.

I can’t find a 27.5 front either.... some one in another thread suggested using a rear on the front which personally I quite liked the sound of (in the meantime...)

currently in discussions with Schwable ......

I'm still amazed that schwalbe doesn't get this sorted, it's been a problem for years with all their aggressive mtb tires. Not enough rubber on the carcass and knobs will peel. It's either QC or they're always chasing weight.

Well they're on. The carcass is so much stiffer than the Butchers and the front was a pain to get onto the rim, you wont want to do any trailside repairs with these.
I changed from a 27.5 with 2.8 butcher on the front to 29 with a 2.4 eddy current, the axle height is +1.5cm so not much change in geometry ( not that I'd notice!).
I bought these mainly because the butchers floated at the front on mud, and were reluctant to climb out of muddy ruts, I'll re-post when the ground thaws.
Tubeless at 25psi they roll very well, I'll play with the pressures next ride.

....

Assuming a wheelbase of approx 1230mm, then that will give you a reduction in head angle of 1.7 degrees. I reckon that you will notice that! More wandering on the climbs, but more fun on the descents.

Just in case anyone was interested, I emailed Schwalbe and asked them what the deal was with the 29 x 2.6 front. Their response is below.

Our Eddy Currrent Front in 2,6 will be available (in Germany) in the beginning of March 2019.

We ask for your understanding.

My personal thoughts based on what I have seen on here with the knobs being ripped off is that it went back into development but that’s just my opinion and I don’t have anything to substantiate it. Anyway I guess if you want the 2.6 it’s a wait until March.

Thanks. Just ordered EC 2.6 rear and MM 2.6 for the front.

I have the 2.4, 2.6 and the 27.5 rear.
Personally i wouldn’t wait for the 2.6 front to buy a set.
Buy the 29x2.6 rear and the 27.5 2.8 rear. It’s a way better match then the front.
But paired with snake skin 2.6 magic Mary is the best combo in my testing.
Even the 2.6 Hans damf was better then the front eddy.
The fronts don’t work good at all if there any mud.
2.4 is actually better then 2.6 eddy i think.
I have hammered this rear and no nobby ripping issues like my first couple. I didn’t have to send mine back i just was asked to show proof of it destroyed.

I will add if you have narrow rims 30mm internal or less the 2.4 EC works better then MM.
i find the 29x2.6 MM and Hans like a 34+ wide internal wheel
I run them on a 35 and 38 wheel
On a 30.5 rim both Mary and Hans would roll on heavy g outs and bike act like it cross rutted. You could hear the tire deform on jump face and i could not scrub or turn down on face without feeling as if. I would have bad getoff even at 28-30psi
Eddy front is very sturdy case and works well on 28-32mm rim.
It’s just down right scary on any wet or even slightly muddy surface.
Dry loose hard pack and chunk it works quite well.
