Worn Rise chainstay protector

Hi, noticed some excessive wear on the chain protector up near the chainring. It's all standard running gear so nothing that is weird sized etc. Pretty disappointing if this thing needs replacing every 8 months.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

For me its just a part that needs replacing every now and again and they are very cheep to buy or you can go old school and use old inner tube and cable ties
