Where does Avinox go from here?

Nothing sad about progress, would love a compact refined mgu

I don't think upgrading motors would alientate brands, just gives them more features to market. If they carry on using the same mounting points there's no real downside? I think changing the mounting points frequently gives more of a headache to manufactuers with 'old' frames etc

If they reserve the MGU for their own bike brand only it will alienate the third party manufacturers even more. Not a good move to win a lot of new business and then fuck them over a year later.
Look at all the comments on the latest Bosch 120 NM video and one posted by Alex.
Among all the hundreds of rumors one is usely true but which one?

Avinox is working full speed, new motor with integrated gearbox next year.
M1, M2 and M2s will be outdated, that's the sad part when developing is moving fast.
Do you have strong intel about this you can share? Any details about what kinding of transmission they are going with? This would be an incredibly good development. It would be a dream if at Sea Otter 2027 we get to test this setup. Gates is gonna be real happy.

I'm just tired that Bosch, Shimano, SRAM, Specialized (Brose) keep dragging their feet on this, and they've already filed patents, so there's not excuses anymore. And there's Intradrive, Owuru E2, and Niche, but not enough backing to get them out the door. Again, it will take DJI/Avinox disrupter to kick all their assess into gear.

While everyone is thinking about April 9th, I keep finding myself wondering where Avinox actually goes from here. There’s always room for small improvements like weight and durability, but it feels like we’re getting pretty close to the limit on power.

If the rumored M2S numbers are even close to accurate, isn’t the motor already at (or past) that imaginary line that’s been floating around? So what do they do in the next 12–18 months to keep the momentum going?

I’m sure battery tech will continue to improve, and maybe there’s more to be gained with sustained power or heat management, but I keep coming back to the motor itself. How much further can they realistically push it?

Could they go the gearbox route at some point? Maybe, but knowing DJI that doesn’t seem like the direction they’d take anytime soon. Either way, it’s been a pretty wild year already.

I mean seriously, what do they even do next year to top this?
Yes

I have a spare motor for my Kenevo that I swap in, while I send the broken motor for service. This is good enough for me, but according to my research doing that for Avinox for example seems impossible, or at least I cant find any sign of it having been done. Until it is, they wont have me as a customer

This setup for the Kenevo cost me around 1000 € so its not cheap, but for me its totally worth it to be riding again the same afternoon. I skip the whole warranty circus because its just too slow and humiliating for me
How about a bike motor that doesn't consider functioning as an optional feature

Gobao and Avinox showed up at EuroBike with integrated geared motors that will revolutionize e-bikes and make today's models look like prehistory. Bosch, which recently unveiled a ridiculous rear hub motor, simply didn't show up at the show, signaling its complete withdrawal.

Bosch sells into the huge European commuter e-bike market, a rear hub motor is exactly what they need for that.

Bosch merely withdrew from Eurobike due, from what I can gather on other bicycle sites, to a spat over Eurobike diluting focus from cycling to wider e-mobility and Light Electric Vehicles (LEV).

Huge trade shows like Eurobike are becoming less relevant in our digital world, and the costs can be eye-watering, and to what end?
