Other What mount are you using for your Garmin

I think my birthday present this year will be a Garmin 530 or 830. I've got 2 concerns about the mount:
  • I use the SWAT stem multitool fairly often, so I don't want the Garmin to block access
  • I have my share of crashes, so it would be good if the Garmin wasn't the first thing to hit the ground
If you use a Garmin (or other bike computer), please post a pic of your mount. Thanks!

I use the K-Edge fixed one on my levo. You have to remove the Garmin to get at the Swat tool, but it works good. The Garmin is a bit
exposed, but so far so good.

I've never had a bike computer, so this might be a bad idea, but I was picturing a mount like the roadies use that puts the Garmin in front of the bars and at about the same level. The logic is that the bar would hit the ground before the Garmin if (when) my bike goes rubber side up.

On my Kenevo, I use a road mount, backwards. That is a double crown fork though. Great protection, but would cover your swat tool

One of these:
mounted at 90deg so the garmin sits next to the stem out of harms way allowing full access to the topcap

Something similar to @ScottWest on one bike. I need to pop off the computer to access my EDC tool (similar to swat). But it's not a hassle at all, really.

On my other bike I have a 76 projects mount on the top tube. I'd like to get one on my main bike as well, to be honest.

I have one of those too but can't use it as my knee knocks the garmin and twists it out of the quarter turn mount when I track stand or lay the bike over in the air

I use original Garmin MTB mount, computer sits just above the swat tool so it's well protected against crashes, to access the swat tool I just pivot the mount up.

I've crashed a few times, and the Garmin 1030 plus has always been fine. I have it in a cheap rubber housing from Amazon. It's flew off a few times, and the K-Edge plastic has snapped a couple of times, but those bits of plastic are cheap and easy to replace. I now have a few spares.
