Otoh I bought a Toopre chain checker & it told me a brand new chain was over 1.5 so swings & roundabouts.

did it get bent?
I have one and it 'seems' fine

the alu valve caps were shyte though - seized onto one of my car wheel valves - had to cut it off

Yup I got the digital as my analogue one is a bit vague.
I agree. There’s a time to get digital and a time to get analog.
My suspension air pump is analog. But my air gauge is digital. Linear callipers are both analog and digital.

My torque wrenches are click-type dial types …only because the digital torque wrenches are really expensive. 🤷🏼‍♂️

A quick glance at the digital spoke tensioner is much easier than the analog type. Less chance of error.

I went with the Park Tool chain checker and some other type. I guess I could use droop-test and use a part of my anatomy as reference. 😉. (Not recommended in public settings.)

A set of Schwalbe ProCore tire inserts. I do not want to carry around any booster pump. This gadget makes booster devices needles.

I'll never wrap a light coloured bike myself again. Spending a day wrapping a light grey Amflow nearly broke me, re-applying pieces.
I remember it being a lot easier (and quicker) on my Levo. I think the dark colour hides a lot of imperfections.

Magic Mary radial (Gravity Pro Casing / Addix Ultra Soft) for the front, Albert radial (Gravity Pro Casing / Addix Soft) for the rear. The Maxxis (Assegi & Dissector) are OK but hoping for a bit more traction on tech climbs with the radials at a lower pressure.

I'm very satisfied with Schwalbe radial tires but will try the new Specialized radial tires since they are much cheaper.

I just ordered the new Mezzer LT Pro G2.

I've had a coil converted fork for a couple of years but was never able to get it exactly correct so decided to try something different.

The USD fork options, particularly from Intend and Cane Creek look very very good. However early reviews of the new G2 praise its suppleness and lack of stiction, and I think on my rock-strewn trails, that's a particularly good attribute in a fork.

The G2 does it at a good weight and price as well. They do sell a lighter trail version but this is an e-bike and I didn't want to chase grams over absolute performance.

At 2230 grams that's about .5kg right off the very front of the bike compared to other contenders such as Flash 38, CC USD, new Zeb, etc. If a 1 kg battery change from 800wh to 600wh makes such a difference in the downtube, then shouldn't a .5 kg difference at the very front of the bike matter about the same amount?

My trails are decidedly 'All Mountain' so I definitely want my bike set up ideal for my reality. Sadly, there are no all-day Alpine missions over here.
