WARNING - Do Not Buy an AmFlow From the AmFlow Website

14k is lots of money and if some company was dicking me around about a refund, I would have posted on the forum also. Hope you get your money back soon. These people who are b!itching about you posting this on a forum, if it was their money what would they do? Just sit around for weeks and just wait for a refund to come? I doubt it. If it's someone else is money, sure patience is virtue but if its my money, hell no.

Cheers brother, I did not want to make it public but what else is left to do? Anyway the support people on this site have reached out and they assure me they are doing their best.
It just blows my mind why this is even an issue.

Never, ever, use a debit card or direct draw from a bank account for a large purchase like this. I'm not talking about a certified check, but right out of your account. Don't do it.

Thanks for the insight

The reason for this is if you pay with a credit card it is not your money that is being paid for the transaction it is instead the credit card issuer's money. Thus the credit card issuer is at risk if the transaction goes wrong. When the transaction is successfully completed you pay the credit card issuer back.

How long have you been waiting?
14th May my order was canceled and the refund approved. There was a week after that they kept saying it was my bank holding it up. Since then every other day I get an email apologising and saying that it’s an internal issue and they are working to resolve it.
It just blows my mind why a big company like this can’t make a $14k payment. It’s not a good look for AmFlow

This, People are so against Credit cards etc but You are spending someone else's money and makes you protected, Like Irie said - It's Their risk not yours.

When you understand the intricacies of foreign corporations and international banking institutions, you might no longer have your mind blown.

Then you may realise why everyone else uses payment protection, rather than having their mind blown, when a large foreign corporation, loses track of an international banking transaction. And you may be encouraged to do the same.

I do hope you get your money back. But it could be a long road.

Without being rude, can I explain why Paypal works so well. Paypal don't actually give the seller your money. They hold your money, and guarantee to give it to the seller when you receive your goods. In a case like this. Amflow agreeing to give you a refund, would have seen Paypal immediately return your funds, as Paypal was holding your money, not Amflow, and multiple intermediary banking institutions.

Thanks for the scoop Astro, it just so happens in this case for reasons I’m not going to go into I paid by direct deposit. Lesson learned, but remember it would not have been an issue if AmFlow were to deliver the bike like 3 weeks ago like the web site said when I ordered. It’s not my fault they can’t supply bikes. Currently delivery is…….

Exactly, Amflow are both failing to deliver or get you a refund in a reasonable timeframe.

Not sure why you’re getting a hard time over this, hope you get sorted ASAP. 👍

Avinox motored EMTBs are really popular at the moment. Amflow is not the only supplier having trouble meeting delivery deadlines. My original Amflow was 8 weeks late when I bought from a dealer. My Teewing Flux was 2 weeks late, but would have been 4 weeks late if I didn't drive to Canberra to pick it up.

Not sure if you've bought just released technology before. But delays are just part of being one of the foundation group. It's the same in every field.

I'm so grateful for this thread. Because i'm in a similar situation. I ordered an Amflow PX carbon pro on their website (Europe) and paid directly to the given bank account at HSBC Netherlands. 9.999,- EUR paid on 11th of May, a month ago. A week later my order was still showing "waiting for payment" so i contacted their german support. I asked him to check for the bank transfer and he responded a couple days later that they "didn't found it". I actually asked for it a couple times more and also started to ask my bank for an investigation. Turns out they received the money and their bank (HSBC Netherlands) also tried to contact them about this transaction. They didn't respond. In the meantime i ordered the bike a second time but at a well known dealer in my country and everything went fine. I got the PX Carbon pro now but basically paid twice for it.
Amflow - of course i want my money back! Why are you doing this? You have such a wonderful product, why do you need to screw your direct customers?
@Amflow_Support Please DM me about this! If you use your website and online shopping system to lure people into paying money for a product they will never receive then you are running a fraudulent business. Deception and Fraud it's what is called here in Europe. Obviously i need my money back!

Holy crap, and I thought I was the only person this happened too. That’s basically what happened to me but I was lucky, the store I actually ended up getting the bike from was happy to wait for me to get the refund.
Wow wow wow dude. AmFlow have some massive issues apart from supplying bikes.
Ps. I still have not seen my refund.
Good luck FlowRider and keep us posted

I'm stunned you haven't seen this before. This is the third report I've seen where people used direct payment, tried to cancel, and had issues getting a refund from Amflow.

There have also been several reports on this forum of people buying Third Party battery extenders, by direct transfer, and never getting the product. There have also been reports of goods being sold, where direct transfer was requested, and the products never turned up, and the seller disappeared.

Hence why some of us are having our minds blown by people still paying for online products by direct transfers. So be warned about using direct transfers for online purchases.

Thanks for all the info guys. I've made up my mind and so did a few of my buddies. We've been waiting on ordering Amflows until we find out about extenders, but this solved it. No Amflows for us. My LBS said they won't be carrying Amflows either.

Good news about your LBS. Should free up supplies and improve delivery times, which has been Amflows biggest issue.

Not a single LBS will carry Amflow. We have 7. The Amflow rep was just in town and they all turned em down.

I don`t understand one thing, if are are screwed by Amflow, why you still buy their products?
When i switched to a local dealer i was in good faith that canceling the order would lead to a proper refund. Also, the bike is marketed everywhere as a very good product (which it is). How should i think/know at the beginning, that Amflow is a shady company? Especially with it's background (DJI etc.).

I remember commenting in my build thread, that I've never been so messed around as what I was by my Amflow purchase. But the bike is brilliant. It's worth the wait.

If Amflow had released a Enduro. As painful as the process was. I would bought it over the Teewing Flux. My experience with the bike itself, has been that good.

Pretty simple to understand. AmFlow could not supply the bike direct and it looks like we both went to a LBS and now AmFlow won’t refund. Pretty freaking simple. Nothing to do with “still buying their product”, the purchases have been made. Still the best thing I ever bought and probably the same for Flowrider X

Have to disagree there. I have 2 drones. My experience couldn't have been better. There is a DJI store about 5km from place. They are fantastic. Always helpful. Lots of spares. Infact I wish Amflow had gone full DJI, and I could have dealt with the DJI store, rather than bike stores.

I guess you got me wrong there. That's not what i meant, could be translation error. I have also good experiences with DJI (as the background of Amflow). So i simply trusted them to run a clean business without shady practices.

Many of us cautioned people about buying Amflow long ago, but we were ignored or ridiculed. Hate to see people get screwed over but nobody can say they weren’t warned. People shouldn’t expect that Amflow is going to provide the attention and customer service that a legacy bike company delivers. That’s why they’re legacy companies; they’re proven. Amflow simply isn’t close to that track record.

You get what you pay for.

I’ve been quite vocal right on this site about DJI being less than trusted. Funny that you thought the DJI association was a positive. 😆

Recently I purchased a DJI Osmo Action 6 camera that is great, but I still don’t put any trust in DJI; and would expect low levels of customer support if I needed it. However it’s a few hundred dollar product and not a $10,000 product.

I expect even less from Amflow.
