WARNING - Do Not Buy an AmFlow From the AmFlow Website

14k is lots of money and if some company was dicking me around about a refund, I would have posted on the forum also. Hope you get your money back soon. These people who are b!itching about you posting this on a forum, if it was their money what would they do? Just sit around for weeks and just wait for a refund to come? I doubt it. If it's someone else is money, sure patience is virtue but if its my money, hell no.

Cheers brother, I did not want to make it public but what else is left to do? Anyway the support people on this site have reached out and they assure me they are doing their best.
It just blows my mind why this is even an issue.

Never, ever, use a debit card or direct draw from a bank account for a large purchase like this. I'm not talking about a certified check, but right out of your account. Don't do it.

Thanks for the insight

The reason for this is if you pay with a credit card it is not your money that is being paid for the transaction it is instead the credit card issuer's money. Thus the credit card issuer is at risk if the transaction goes wrong. When the transaction is successfully completed you pay the credit card issuer back.

How long have you been waiting?
14th May my order was canceled and the refund approved. There was a week after that they kept saying it was my bank holding it up. Since then every other day I get an email apologising and saying that it’s an internal issue and they are working to resolve it.
It just blows my mind why a big company like this can’t make a $14k payment. It’s not a good look for AmFlow

This, People are so against Credit cards etc but You are spending someone else's money and makes you protected, Like Irie said - It's Their risk not yours.

When you understand the intricacies of foreign corporations and international banking institutions, you might no longer have your mind blown.

Then you may realise why everyone else uses payment protection, rather than having their mind blown, when a large foreign corporation, loses track of an international banking transaction. And you may be encouraged to do the same.

I do hope you get your money back. But it could be a long road.

Without being rude, can I explain why Paypal works so well. Paypal don't actually give the seller your money. They hold your money, and guarantee to give it to the seller when you receive your goods. In a case like this. Amflow agreeing to give you a refund, would have seen Paypal immediately return your funds, as Paypal was holding your money, not Amflow, and multiple intermediary banking institutions.

Thanks for the scoop Astro, it just so happens in this case for reasons I’m not going to go into I paid by direct deposit. Lesson learned, but remember it would not have been an issue if AmFlow were to deliver the bike like 3 weeks ago like the web site said when I ordered. It’s not my fault they can’t supply bikes. Currently delivery is…….

Exactly, Amflow are both failing to deliver or get you a refund in a reasonable timeframe.

Not sure why you’re getting a hard time over this, hope you get sorted ASAP. 👍

Avinox motored EMTBs are really popular at the moment. Amflow is not the only supplier having trouble meeting delivery deadlines. My original Amflow was 8 weeks late when I bought from a dealer. My Teewing Flux was 2 weeks late, but would have been 4 weeks late if I didn't drive to Canberra to pick it up.

Not sure if you've bought just released technology before. But delays are just part of being one of the foundation group. It's the same in every field.
