Just to let you know, all of the first batch will have chainstays of 440 across the board, they are going to start designing L/XL longer from next year as geo/strength is altered seemingly.

The Velduro rims and hubs are the same as Amflows, but rebranded with Velduro decals.

Hi everyone,

Yes, @Mart-e, there has been a mix of speculation and misinformation floating around about the Rogue. What do they say, any publicity is good publicity? Not sure we fully agree with that one.

As with most industries, there is always information that cannot be shared just yet, and sometimes even the reasons why can be tricky to explain. What we can say is this: anyone placing a deposit for the UK spring 2026 delivery will not be disappointed. Remember, deposits are fully refundable, and we are always happy to answer questions directly. Just drop us a message via VelduroUK and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

On the topic of the carbon wheelset for the full build, the rims and hubs are being developed in the same factory as the Amflow wheels. This is because only a handful of manufacturers currently offer hubs guaranteed to handle the high torque of the Avinox system. What makes ours different are the uprated spokes, designed to deliver what we believe will be the most durable carbon wheelset available for Avinox-equipped bikes.

That is all we can share for now, but stay tuned to our socials because there is plenty more to come.

All the best,
The Velduro UK Team

It seems to me that only UNNO and Commencal have genuinely non-Chinese-designed frames so far. Also, Crussis and Megamo appear to use exactly the same Chinese frame.

I don’t mean that it’s particularly wrong, but it seems like this is part of a major Chinese e-bike expansion hidden behind Czech (Crussis), Polish (Kross), and New Zealand (Velduro) companies :p

Not to be off-topic, I’m really happy that Velduro came out with a proper 170mm enduro bike (y), and I’d take their frameset instead if it had been available when I was buying my UNNO.

Megamo's frame looks a bit different an more "refined" than Crusis, are you sure it's the same ?

Subject: An Official Statement from Velduro: Clarifying the Rogue Frame and Our Brand Philosophy,

To our valued cycling community, industry partners, and followers,

Recent online discussions and media reports regarding our flagship Rogue EMTB model and a potential collaboration have come to our attention. At Velduro, we value transparency and direct communication with our community. Therefore, we would like to provide a clear and official statement to address these matters.

1. The Rogue is an Original, In-House Design from Velduro.
We want to state unequivocally that the Rogue frame is not a "public mold" or generic OEM product. It is the result of thousands of hours of dedicated research, engineering, and testing by our core team. From the initial concept between Co-Founders in NZ and China, to the advanced digital simulation and final 3D printing prototyping and real product testing in NZ and China, every stage of the Rogue's development has been driven by our own vision and intellectual property. It is a unique product of our global R&D ethos, blending design inspiration from New Zealand with cutting-edge engineering and our China teams manufacturing capabilities.

2. Context Regarding the Recent Collaboration Discussion.
We were honoured by the interest from Kross during the Shanghai Cycle show. In a gesture of professional respect and to explore a potential co-branding opportunity for the Eastern European market, we provided a single Rogue frame for their internal dealer meeting, under mutual understanding regarding its non-commercial and exploratory purpose.

At a further stage of cooperation, both sides recognized differences in brand strategy and communication priorities. As a result, we mutually decided not to proceed with the co-branding initiative.

3. Our Decision and Commitment to a Single Brand Strategy.
After careful internal review, we decided to maintain a single-brand strategy for our product lines. While collaborations can play an important role in innovation, at this point we believe a unified Velduro identity best reflects our long-term goals.

4. Our Unwavering Focus on Innovation.
This incident has only strengthened our resolve to focus on what we do best: creating exceptional, innovative, and rider-focused products. We are pouring all our energy into refining the Rogue and developing future technologies that will continue to push the boundaries of the E-MTB experience, powered by the groundbreaking DJI Avinox system.

We thank our community for your passion and feedback. You are the reason we strive for excellence, your feedback will always influence Velduro now and in the future. We look forward to officially bringing the authentic, unparalleled Velduro Rogue experience directly to you and look forward to hearing supporting you into the future.

Sincerely,

The Velduro Team

Ps ordered mine this morning 😁

Nice press release, but come on — if there’s actual R&D behind a product that’s supposed to launch a new company, you don’t hand your bread and butter to some low-tier, obscure brand from Eastern Europe. Even if it were someone like Santa Cruz, it’d still look unprofessional. As it stands, I don’t doubt the Rouge could be a solid bike, but honestly, the “engineering” in this story is about as subtle as a brick.

Very nice frame, but I'm very troubled that there is no bash guard like some other videos I've seen of the Rogue, especially if this is the GA release model of this frame. Might it be inside one of the smaller packing boxes that requires bolting/attachment to underside cover?
Speaking with the Velduro team last week the bash guard that attaches to the motor cover will be an optional extra that can be added when final payment for the frame / bike is made. I was told these will be available for the first shipment of frames. I'm sure these will be added to the website once available.

This is eerily similar to the recent Teewing/LightCarbon drama. Teewing claims all of the usual stuff people want to see in marketing of designing their own frame and having European engineers and riders, and then LC comes out and says they have a new DJI frame they wouldn’t release any specs on but was obviously the same frame. People quickly figured it out and they both came out with ridiculous stories about Teewing having given some frames to LC to try and sell (Why would you give frames to a frame manufacturer to sell…) and tried to quell all the rumors, both denying LC makes the frame. LC has gone dark on anything related to it and seemingly isn’t selling the frame direct anymore.

The Kross branding is interesting and as you say similar to the LC / Teewing kerfuffle. A very curious divergence in what the two companies claim. The quote from Teewing about their product was as follows:

We have noticed some recent misunderstandings regarding the manufacturing source of the Teewing frames. We would like to clarify that our frames are independently designed by our team and manufactured by the largest carbon fiber factory in China, which also produces frames for many well-known bicycle brands. Our frames are definitely not manufactured by LC

An explanation could be as follows, LC is the retail / export side for the frame manufacture and the production side has a different name for the same frame source.

Hello, I'm sorry for my late reply. Quite busy last few days ;)
Yes, the bash guard is incuded in smaller packing box, I'm attaching picture tomorrow.

Yes, that’s the only logical explanation that lets them technically say LC doesn’t make the frames but would still mean the people making LC frames are the ones making the Teewing frames (And maybe Velduro too!) and explain how LC would get their hands on some and start selling them when they weren’t supposed to.

I joined the frame set pre order list in Australia today. Looks like late Dec/early Jan delivery. As an AmFlow owner I’m very familiar with the Avinox system. Looking forward to using it on a longer travel bike.
I was torn whether to order with the shock or not. Ended up going with shock as the new X2 seems to review quite well.
I will be interested to hear how these frames ride with a coil though as people start setting them up & riding them. That is usually my preference 🤟

what type of material is it made of? and where does it bolt to, the motor cover?
