Velduro Rogue 170/165 mullet Enduro with DJI

I won't hold my breath, or delay buying a new bike if one takes my fancy.

The Rogue was on my (very) short list, but I've just realised it's limited to a 34t max chainring
Looks like I'll be waiting a while longer before I replace my Levo.

Huh. That is a bummer. I like to run 36t min otherwise ya just go far down the cassette and burn out the smallest cogs too soon.

Is the Gen5 Bosch motor that you have in your Crestie large enough that you have chain ring protection with a 36T from the motor, or would a 36T hand down below? Because if so I want to run a 36T as well.

In case anyone hasn't noticed and it makes a difference, the Velduro bikes come with the standard 4A 168W charger and not the 12A 508W fast charger that the Amflows come with.

For reference it looks like the fast charger is currently about £229 in the UK.

I presume it makes it cheaper and it's better for the batteries not to do fast charging.

On the other hand though, you aren't going to be able to get a big charge on the bike over a lunch break, or a short stop on a longer ride etc.

Their reply when I emailed and asked was, "All standard chargers, but we will have the option to purchase a fast charger on the site if needed."

Wonder if they’ll start offering other colors on future batches, the black looks nice and all, but it would be nice to see a few options.

highly unlikely when their bikes get build up by giant:

Looking a the CPB Withhold Release Order carefully, its states an embargo applies to items manufactured in Taiwan by Giant Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Luckily, the Rogue frames are coming out of Giant Kunshan China for Australasia (and seemingly for North America) and coming out of Giant Netherlands for the EU.

Still, this is big enough issue to warrant creating a new thread on this CPB announcement, because of the far reaching implications for a bunch of international bike labels to get their bikes into the US.

I put in an order a few weeks ago for the frameset only, in Medium. One of the very few times living in NZ has been an advantage when it comes to buying mtbs!
I've pulled some of the upgraded bits off my Trek Rail - but going for a very modest Shimano XT linkglide 11spd drivetrain and XT 4pot brakes. The 11spd drivetrain is very good value. lt'll be a mullet setup, with Fox 38 Performance fork.
Oh - and found a cheap-ish Fox Float X off Farcebk marketplace ... but eventually keen to get a coil shock (once my credit card has recovered).

Only have to wait now until mid Nov when they supposedly arrive in the country.

Nice. What height are you?
Linkglide is the one for ebikes for sure. I'll be sticking with 10 speed.
Only need to buy a trunnion shock, probably an ext arma, storia or estoria, whatever mojo recommend. A 210mm dropper and a single crown fork of some sort. Probably shouldn't use my 40.

I'm 169cm ... on a good day.

That puts you on a small according to the sizing chart. Did you decide to size up or was it suggested?
The nz chap who is posting ride videos in china is 177cm and also going to buy a medium.
I had decided on a large as the geometry is identical to my current bike, but am now second guessing and might be better to go med based on their chart at 178cm.
My funnest bike was an old solid strike DH with a 430mm reach!
It does appear that peak reach happened a few years ago and sizes are slowly being reigned back in.

Nothing wrong with link glide or xt brakes. I have them on my Crestline. Tore the gx axs t type off in disgust sold it second hand for $1000 and installed link glide for $400.... made $600 on the upgrade.....

Velduro were to slow getting online in Aus. Had the opportunity to get the last Forbidden Druid Core so put a deposit on that yesterday.
Awesome!
I think the Forbidden has the better geo, just a pity they don’t do a frame only.
Velduro AU is taking pre orders now, as they have been for a couple of weeks now.

I’d prefer cramming for sure. I’ll just swap parts over from my Amflow and sell that.

Velduro.com.au isn’t showing much info! Still just only a front page with “coming soon” listed, as it has been for a while now.
