probably the same bike i was on, sadly the motor rattle is there, didn’t notice it when i was testing it (was on a flowtrail though)

The new Website www.velduro.com is now up and being tweaked in NZ over the next few days, once it's done the UK site will be opened with prices and order procedures in place. We have 2 x sample frame sets 1 x M 1 x L being flown to UK next week. We will take a week to build them and then take them to Surry Hills for a shake down. If anyone would like to join us please PM me.

Will there be a Velduro EU?

^this AU price is correct.
I was hoping it was going to be better value, buts it’s wwayyy better than the main players (Sworks Levo at $13k aud etc). The Teewing is $5500 landed in Australia, @ $2300 extra it’s edging towards a more considered purchase instead of a shut up take my money situation.
I shall meditate on it, aka, get on the beers and send a deposit.
Teewing is a 150/160 trail bike though. Not a bigger hitting high pivot enduro frame
So the big question is what travel/capability do you want? That should dictate the frame you buy.

I personally would consider a Velduro but not a Teewing. Teewing is not enough travel for me.
With that said. Teewing only shows its limitation in double black chunk. Below that, standard blacks, blue, green its a firecracker.

I get your point, I’d prefer a longer travel frame, but I can make do with the Teewing. So, say the Teewing was half the price of the Rogue I’d go the Teewing, but seeing how the Rouge isn’t that much more I’d swing that way as Id prefer a mid pivot bike and more enduro orientated travel.
I really just want a DJI bike, I find all other full power e-bikes look pregnant. The amflow just didnt do it for me, and i'm really keen on a frameset option so I can build it up myself.

Found this vid online, not English, but some good close ups. Rocker looks carbon? I assumed it was aluminum. Might be a pre-production example given the decals are just stickers.

Looks to be Zeb grey frame or was it mat black.... any clues up on Velduro's site details to frame colour ways.... l possibly overlooked last checking in.... someone had placed up yellow but seems black or mat black is rolling out....

I believe that is a mat black Zeb, the yellow frame was a Photoshop dream from someone. the only color is the mat black as far as I've seen :)

St

Store goes live in a week or 2. You can contact them via email if you are interested in a bike/frame.

Cool thanks! Not that desperate, I’ll wait and see. If they were open now I’d buy one though!

Any hope of getting one of these in the US at all?

Edit: Just read back in the thread and see there were others interested and some comments about US service centers. Interested to see if there are any updates on that.

I don't get why some many people are form over function on this site and place a priority on looks first rather than performance. I select and purchase bikes based primarily on their abilities, features spec and geo.

Then a distance last is looks. If there are two bikes that meet the same spec but one looks better i'll buy the better looking one. But I wont compromise features and spec for looks. I simply dont care in one down tune is fatter or skinnier than the other. Which downtube gives the best performance?... Well as far as handling is concerned shorter fatter batteries mounted lower provide better handling on e bikes. So my preference is handling rather than looks.

But as it turns out DJI no better than me as far as marketing is concerned and looks beats handling for most people. Thus the buzz around DJI.

Form and function are equally important. If it doesnt perform well you probably wont buy a bike just because it looks good, but equally, if it's unpleasant to look at it doesn't matter how well it performs.

And it not just some people on this site, it's people in general.

Personally, I think Velduro have nailed it both on a performance and looks basis. And yes, I have ridden one.

Agree with you, CoG is compromised by long skinny downtube batteries - it's fashion over function.

From a functional point of view I'd like a fat battery in front of the seat post in the centre of the bike. Would be very ugly but would centralise mass and positively improve CoG. A new generation of much higher energy density batteries (such as Lithium Sulphur) will enable much smaller and better battery placement.

Everyone is different, and that is a ok. The DJI is the first full power MTB that allows for a slim down tube and reasonable looking bottom bracket. On top of that it’s a rocket ship, those two things combined got me over the line.
If I’m going to spend what is a shite load of money (for me) I want to be excited by a bike, both in looks and function.

Human nature. Brands have learned that if they make something sleek and modern looking, it'll sell on that alone. We naturally assign good traits to things that we like the look of. This even includes home appliances!
