Hey all,

Thinking about upgrading from the Rockshox 35 Silver that came stock on my Turbo Levo. Looking for something that feels a bit smoother to help out my arms. Found a Fox 36 Float Performance. Would that be a worthwhile upgrade? Could possibly grab it for about 40% off currently. I'm a about 180 lbs with gear.

Thanks!

I strongly recommend getting the e bike version. The tuning is night and day from the regular mtb fox 38 factory/ performance elite fork. The e bike is designed for riding, the factory is designed for racing.

You can replace RS 35 with anything and it'll be better. I replaced it with a Lyrik (not an ebike-specific version) and that was a day and night difference.

Chain Reaction had the older Lyrik's on offer at around £350 a month or so ago, might be worth checking out if they still have them for that price. That's if you're in UK.

I am in the precisely the same boat. I thought my headset was loose and popped into the local Specialized dealer to verify. Turns out I have blown out the RS 35.

I am a bit larger at 230lbs, ex-moto-crosser. Seems the 38 is better than the 36 from reviews.

Just want to correlate that the 38 is the direction, and then the

FOX 38 FLOAT PERFORMANCE GRIP 29 2022 ($499)

vs

FOX 38 FLOAT FACTORY GRIP 2 29 2022 ($599)

is the better choice.

Thank you!

for the $100 I would say the performance is fine, the factory I don't feel is worth the extra

Hi
I had those forks on a cube I bought and just adding more oil (decreasing air gap) in RH fork leg and adding 1 air token (making x2 in total) to LF fork leg made a massive difference to the performance of the fork. I also removed the 20mm spacer from the airshaft turning it from a 140mm fork to a 160mm fork.

Many thanks for all the replies. I ended up getting the Fox 36 Float Performance Ebike version and its been great. As TheSnowShark mentioned I did need to get the small adapter for the hub, which was annoying, but not a huge deal.

Thanks again!
