I really rate the Maxxis Minion DHF. However seeing they are a bit pricey in 2.8’s, I thought I might try something else as a front in 2.6 instead. I know about the minion 2.5’s
What is aggressive like the Minnion but in 2.6 ?
Any brand will do.

Apart from the Minion DHF and DHR ll 2.6... Schwalbe Magic Mary 2.6. And I assume Continental will start shipping their 2.6s soon, how about a Trail King, or der Baron? Specialized Butcher supposedly exist in 2.6, not in my country, but possibly in Australia? Bontrager SE5 should exist in 2.6, no idea about availability though. The Minion is available, I got a DHR ll from Germany.

What size rim did you have that on , I measured the butcher 2.8 in the shop to compare to my 2.6 high rollers and it seemed quite fair in size , 73 mm wide as fitted to a kinevo .
As for choice in 2.6 or 2.8 I can really recomend the specialised tyres that are currently in offer , slaughter pergatory or butcher .
Slaughter rear and pergatory front is proving a great summer combination , lively and fast rolling with great predictable traction

Was on 30mm rims there is a fair bit difference between the 2.8 and the 2.6 both on 30mm rims the 2.6 is almost too small to run on my levo as it drops the BB a bit too low for me anyway
