Rail (625Wh) Trek RIB Battery Alignment Procedure - Updated

Did you ever find a fix? Having issues with my rail as well.
I’m not sure what fixed it, but I haven’t had this issue even once since I last visited this thread. I want to say I adjusted the battery position but I couldn’t tell you what exactly I did. I would try to clean the terminals, check your alignment per the Trek user manual and look for anything abnormal. Sorry this isn’t very helpful mate.

I had this problem with my '21 Rail 5, ended up flipping it over, pulling engine cover, loosening lower battery bracket, then pressing the lower bracket with a rod (like a long hex wrench) against the battery (and into the upper bracket) while re-tightening the lower bracket. If you press it too much, it'll be hard to eject the battery, but just tight enough to allow easy battery release, and the battery disconnect stopped entirely - that was in summer '21 and no issues since. This is without the retrofit kit.
