Sometimes I wonder if I'd have been happier had we stayed in the UK - my family left Lancashire for Brisbane when I was 12, nearly 32 years ago. When I read things like this, I'm so glad we did leave. I'd be shocked to hear of something like that here, except for a few isolated suburbs.
