Recently picked up a Box 8 speed set up for £65 bargain 
But the shifter is awful .
So after a Google I bought a Shimano SL M315 8 speed shifter that the internet said would work ....it didn't ,it wouldn't shift to the top and the bottom 3 were all messed up .
So back on with the Box shifter .
So anyone know of a definite replacement or do I have to regain muscle memory from the early 90s with having to use my thumb for up and down shifting
