Looks great, I like the silver outline graphics. Not sure I'd have done it on a new frame and knacked the warranty though

I did my Vitus recently although didn't go to the same level of polishing effort on my 5 year old frame, pleased with how it turned out with a scotchbrite pad finish. Went for bit of gold ano

The warranty thing is quite interesting.

When I dropped my frame off for dipping in the hot acid, I had not removed the serial number stickers underneath the top tube.

When I got the frame back, these stickers had not been completely removed. They peeled off easily by hand but left square patches of the original paint. I had to scrape this off with a knife.

Also, I pulled out a piece of bubble wrap that I had put in the frame to quiet any potential hose rattles.

So considering soft plastic and labels remained untouched by the acid dipping, I struggle to see how the process can damage the alloy frame.

I’ve ordered the chrome letter outline decals, think they look awesome. Will leave the black head tube S decal and use the chrome letter decals on the down tube.

Depends on the acid used. Some won’t touch plastics etc but are very corrosive to metals.
Bike looks awesome by the way👍

The chrome outline decals looked awesome. Post some pics once they’re fitted please. I’m tempted to strip my 2019 levo that I’ve just replaced with a new sage green levo alloy comp. How much did the chemical dip cost?

It’s finished.

Foil Decals and super bling coloured brakes.

No frame protection.

I was considering offering the stripping/polishing / rebuild as a service……….

In the 80’s I had a rally Burner that I stripped from gold to alloy. Ended up looking like a skyline. I put white mags on it and skyline decals 😂😇

I have a green one as well and while I do like the colour, the paint seems soft and chips rather easily. I'll wait and see what it looks like at the end of this year.
