Strava Users : Privacy Zone Heads up

Not sure when this happened, but certainly rides from today, maybe before - only noticed today.

Privacy zones are not being applied onto rides/activities. If you've ridden today and have private areas (privacy zones) you might be worried about, maybe change your ride to Private - which might take a few hours to take effect as that's also not working properly.

Older rides still have the privacy zones applied to them.

Have you had anyone else look at your ride from their profile?

Sometimes mine don't show up after a ride but will if I get friends to check it ?

dont know if this changed with a recent update but the area within a secrecy zone is visible to the person who recorded the ride but not to others................so it could appear to the person recording the ride that the secrecy zone has gone unless you opt to have it visible as a red circle.

Nope. It's always been like that. But yesterday it stopped applying it to lots of activities so it was possible to see where all the celebrities lived.

I'm guessing they've quietly fixed it so they don't have a huge PR disaster on their hands.
