Levo Gen 4 Specialized Gen 4 Levo - Official Thread

Curious if you set 0/50 if it will give you a 100% support to 405W ?
Yes, you should get 405 watts from the motor at 405 watts from the rider.

The Dynamic Micro Tune doc says 0/100 is 1:1 your watts to motor watts:

And the the Micro Tune table shows how many watts you get at each power level as "Max motor power":

But its missing the 0/0 entry. Which I *think* is about 60 watts of motor power at 60 watts of needed rider power. (my bike is an sworks, so its a bit higher)

The Bosch systems put out less than 100% of your watts in eco mode (I think its 60% in Eco in the Gen4). But the Levo cant do that with the current firmware. But 0/100 is as close as we can get to that.

What I really need is a lower multiplication factor. For my fitness level, something between 1.0x and 1.2x, but with maximum power fully available.
FYI, your wish was granted, you can now set up 0/YY modes which is a 1.0x multiplier. See my previous post.
I do a lot of flat gravel and road riding with my bike so this was great for me. Climbing at 0/30 is going to be hard but you wont be shooting past your analog bike friends.

Other stuff:

Dynamic Micro Tune mode is documented as giving you 0/100 as the minimum support mode. But the firmware has a bug where the motor shows 0 watts when it’s clearly drawing power. The battery graph goes down but the power graph is 0.

Yes this must be true because riding at 0/100 on my Levo is still easier than doing the same ride on my Chisel FS.

I queried this the other day with Rider Care...

"That is a known behavior for that mode right now, I do not know when or if they will resolve it specifically for that setting. I chatted with our Turbo team about it and since that setting of 0/100 is new and sort of an "easter egg" in the system we will have to figure out how to get that data to show properly. It is not something I expect to have a quick fix for but it will likely be pushed through in a future app update.

Thank you for reaching out to Rider Care!"

Gotta admire the transparency of that answer tbh.

Can someone please explain the difference between Auto mode and Dynamic Micro Tune? Aren't they kinda the same thing? Or is one more related to torque and the other to cadence? For instance, if I set dynamic to 40/100 does that mean it only uses 40% power if you're pedaling easy but 100% is available if you push really hard? Doesn't Auto tune do that as well?
What are the benefits of one over the other?
I really like the idea of Auto tune where you can just set it and forget it. Coming from my Shimano motor I'm a neophyte with all this new stuff. Specialized website isn't super helpful (to me anyway) with this stuff.
Thanks.

Is all this new stuff making your rides more enjoyable?

No, Auto mode adjust both the xx/yy numbers based on riding conditions.

Specialized has a pretty in depth manual online that exlains all the modes.

Specialized just dropped prices on Levo 4 due to market conditions. Smart move.

Great move, they're listening.

Any idea on when the 2027 Levo 4 builds will drop ? I might be set on a Levo 4 Expert or Pro, but it makes no sense to me to get a 2026 build when 2027 are most likely about to release with the new stuff.

S Works Gen 4 here in UK needs to be 7-8 kbike tops to start selling, not 12.5k. Even then it’s still going to struggle. Nothing to do with market conditions, so many better riding bikes out there superior tech wise at far cheaper prices. They got lazy and bought out a poor looking bike that was not great to ride, and just expected the established customers to just keep buying. Even at the discount prices it’s still going to struggle. IMO.

2027 is probably just around the corner.

They must have come to their senses. Finally! Now they can actually put on sale to make it competitive...
They had to do something, they have an 2nd division bike at at first division price tag, whose sales had been completely decimated by the AMflow bikes. They just don’t have the time to re design a bike to compete so did the next best thing, as in crash the price. Personally I don’t think this will help much. The AMflow DJI bikes are vastly superior technology wise. This is reflected in the way they just fly out the stores.
