Talked to the owner of the local bike shop this afternoon and saw up close the new gen 4’s.
Downtube is really big, like abnormally big, like the first thing you notice when viewing from a side profile.
He said 7 weeks until the alloy version is availible.
He said the new 12a charger gets hot too like the standard 4a one that comes with the gen3.
Only when fast charging though, chargers is easily 2x as big too.
No S works frame sets availible yet he doesn’t know when they will.
Verified no 29‘r on the rear.
Seat dropperpost is NOT wired into main battery, but everyone probably allready knew that.

Another thing to note. He said using the “class3” option puts the bike in 1/2 power mode just like using the boost battery alone.

He had the full lineup and all the colors looked ok. Kinda metal flake but subtle and not striking.
No all black colors availible.

One last thing he told me when leaving is that if and when the tarrifs kick in add another 10% to the price listed.

This is just an update here in SD from BM bike shop.

Just ordered S-Works Red Pearl in S3 - delivery in 2-3 days. For me a YOLO investment.

Congrats. Dealer ordered an Expert for me yesterday, my first eMTB. Currently on Ibis Ripmo and looking forward to new adventures.

I was considering Pivot Shuttle LT, Mondraker Crafty Carbon, Orbea Wild, ARI Timp Peak 2.0 but went with Turbo Levo since there's better local support for Specialized and no tariff/timing concerns since the Levos are shipping now.

Just hope the Mavens aren't as bad as they're made out to be. Maybe I'll see if the dealer will swap for a set of Dominions, etc.

Downtube didn`t seem any bulkier than Bosch 800 battery tubes, for example Rail+. It`s big of course but didn`t bother me unlike Fox super ugly dropper 😀

i had a try of the gen4 s-works, and had my gen3 as well, its very heavy and bulky, yes you get the extra power (slight difference) and all the new gizmos, but still not convinced its a better version than my gen3 carbon expert and at that price, here in sweden the gen4 carbon expert is 119,000sek, s-works 170,000sek o_O

Strange no one talks about motor and battery weight Battery is 4.4kg and motor 3.2kg.
It's crazy to me that they have the heaviest motor/battery system instead of being lighter than the competition.
All in all ,the generic frame design, heavier weight, same 150/55 travel/stroke ratio, wired remote, standard range is VERY far than the game changing titles it gets in the media.

I’m still not convinced that the average Levo rider needs more than 150mm (the two I met last weekend had just ridden down the road and had a long fire road climb back to the pub). I know a bunch of people who ride Fod tech and park in the alps on 150mm bikes, where y’all riding that you need more? Sherwood pines? Swinley?

I have seen somebody fly round on a unicycle at Sherwood Pines definitely no need for suspension there

I wondered if that was you ... 🍻

Can anyone tell me whether the frameset color is matte or glossy?

Defenetely added aftermarket, and it does not look perfectly aligned with a really MASSIVE downtube ...

I think some early reports put the Drive 3 at 3.4kg, so they've done some work getting the weight down.

Early release numbers had the motor at 2.9 - which was either a lie or a mistake carried over from the Mag S. Everything after said 3.18kg.

It's heavy, BUT imagine if it's bullet proof ! 10 years on, you, or whomever you've passed Levobese onto, are still riding the same motor and it works faultlessly ! We'd probably forgive the extra weight for an easy and simple life !

Suspension analysis:

Anti-rise / brake lockout53% at 10tno brake lockout

As for the battery .... and EVOLUTION ...

Well, Levobese doesn't look so good ..

If we go back in time to 2017 ... there was the Bulls E-Stream Evo.

647.5wh battery, which weighed 3.18kg's (co-incidentally the same as Levobese's motor) and less than the weight of the new 600wh battery for Levobese.

Not really a leap forwards in 8 years.

Nice Ohlins setup, but should really either have no sticker or should invert the background colours so it's stealthy and virtually invisible .. rather than a neon dentists sign.
That’s Loic Bruni’s bike. And I think this frame comes with that large S-Works lettering from the factory. And he’ll have to ride it like that, whether he likes it or not.

Interesting, had a long chat with a friend in US last night he’s had go on my AMflow last month when visiting UK, just collected his Gen 4 S works, gets the point about it’s looks. Says you have to look past that it rides really really well, power is nothing without control. Says don’t diss it until you have a good ride on one. Still have my dips in place for a Red S works arrives later this month, shop says will arrange a good ride on one before then
