Just been on the app and there's a motor update available
From 4.9 to 4.93

Has anyone updated and was there any difference? l didn't want to perform the update in case it affected the Stunlocker settings. l've got the wheel circumference set at 2350 (which is the actual measured circumference) as standard it was set at 2450

Plus the bike thinks it's in the USA

not sure why you'd even open the Shimano app if you use Stunlocker.
but if you're derestricted or uing any other stunlocker features not in the shimano app certainly don't update your firmware.
Shimano always make their Firmware notes freely available if you wan to know what's in the update.

Oh okay, thank for the heads up.

I checked and
it says "bug fixes for the error
detection system" and "improved the display accuracy for assist travelling range"

If its working fine I wouldn't update it - I haven't updated mine in over 2 years.

I was riding with 4.9.0 when the motor gave an E10 error at +- 5.000 km. The new motor is on 4.6.1 and I have noticed that in this older firmware version and can get some 10% more range than I got with 4.9.0.
In this case i resolved not to upgrade anymore and keep the 4.6.1.

Probably a good idea.

Also with any software before 4.9 you can use Stunlocker to change the wheel circumference and other settings.
