Safest way to mount Ebike onto repair stand?.

HI Binhill Kudos for the reply. It was for the purpose of cleaning the drivetrain and cassette and clean bike generally. I also wanted to fix the shifting issue as my derailer isnt working properly and I can only select 6 out of 12 gears. The chain also jumps and makes a horrible clunking sound so its not at all smooth shifting.As said I couldnt do that as the pedals were to low and kept getting stuck through half turn on the stand.

Put it in to shop haha. I put mine in to Inverness shop to remove a broken plastic plug going in to motor. Said tweek my gears as well . Lasted about a month with perfect changing now slower . Works on most gears but I always get one that is delayed in shifting to a lower gear , I just live with it.

Pro tip; My stand and bike doubles as a drying rack for my riding apparel. I keep a spare underwear and socks in the bike cave also. (I walked through the house once, after a ride, and suffered the consequences.

I use the fake Saris bar to suspend almost every bike. The most used charger is attached to the stand post and plugged into an electrical receptacle, where I’m able to charge everything else (AXS batteries and extra chargers). The tool caddy holds the fake bar, lubricants , maintenance items, chocolate bar, charger cable, etc.

This location kinda keeps the dirt contained …sometimes.

I use the Halford false top tube bar.....would not mount the bike on a stand any other way.
With the Jaws of the stand clamp open it just needs ( in my case) a 26kg two arm lift to hook the false bar into the Jaws. Provided the bike is balanced front to back it will just rest there, so both hands free and tighten the clamp. Assuming it is a decent clamp the bike is held steady. My stand is also a Halfords one so cheap as chips. The only issue with it is the height adjusting clamp does not hold well...so I have it at max height and drilled a hole through the vertical tubes and put a bolt through. Make sure the clamp arm is at maximum extension from the upright and there is no problem with pedal clearance.
I use a gardening plastic tray placed under the stand so that catches all the crud cleaned off the bike as well as degreaser etc when cleaning the drivetrain. I remove both wheels for cleaning ( the only parts of the bike cleaned with bike cleaner and water). To degrease and re lube the chain I remove the chain from the chainwheel and let it hang from the chainstay.
I also have a Park Tool platform stand which I hardly ever use!!

I use the Halfords False Cross Bar with a Park Tool 10.3 stand. Works fine with our 2022 Trek Rails (alloy).

the only downside to using the false top tube bar is if you want to work on the headset. For that job I use a cheap set of drop handlebars mounted in the clamp instead. The bike fits into the bars on the shock linkage and top tube. It is free to swing about but that can be sorted by using a velcro strap.

@Mikerb brilliant thanks mate will deffo look at getting one from halfords as my Raymon frame has very little room for clamping to frame because of rock shox suspension and previous clamped to seat post damaged the stand jaws
