Yes and the piggyback chamber hits the downtube at full stroke compression. Sadly the M size gen 2 frames don't have enough clearance but the larger sizes and later models with the 750Wh battery do. I think I also tried a Fox X2 and had the same issue. In the end I went for a DVO Jade X which has the piggyback oriented laterally. This and other shocks with the same chamber orientation works fine.Anyone tried that Rock shox coil on medium gen 2 alloy ?
I have benefited a lot from this post! However this figure's shock is the C1 version of the Vivid Ultimate. As an extra information, I brought the newest version of RochShox Vivid Ultimate D1 230x60mm and it works great on my Trek Rail 9.7 Gen 4 Size Large.62.5 on my Gen 4 Large, delighted with it so far. I'm told 65 will fit on the same frame too.
