Rock shox super deluxe damper shaft change?

I've bought a super deluxe with a bearing mount damper shaft, but my turbo levo needs a standard eyelet damper shaft. I can buy the new standard eyelet shaft, but I don't know what is involved in swapping the shafts over. Anyone done this before and can offer advice?
