Rise - Switching between Garmin Units

These are pre ownership questions as my M20 is still 2-3 weeks away.

I have a Garmin Fenix S6 watch and 530 Edge unit.

My hope is to use the watch for additional info on the technical trails and use the 530 for hitting the hills and putting the miles in on general non techy days out.

I'm assuming both units will not talk to the bike at once?

If that is the case how simple is it to switch units on a day to day basis?

What are riders mounting preferences when it comes to using a dedicated Garmin unit on the bike?

Since Ant+ broadcasts the data and you decide on the receiving end what signal you want to pic up it sould be possible to connect both at the same time.

I have allmost the same garmin devices.
530 is the "master" and will collect data from the bike via Orbea RS, and the watch will send HR and othe stuff to the 530.

I have the 530 on the handlebar, and uses this instead of the small LED box on the M10.
It actually covers the LED box, but the 530 shows the assist levels and battery in percentage, so I¨m happy.

I do it like this:
1: enable activity on watch.
2: turn on 530 and start activity (autopause on)
3: turn on bike and it connects fine (make sure the pedals are not leaning on anything)

Go ride.

When ride is done, I do this:
1: stop and save activity on 530
2: stop activity on watch and delete it.
3: sync 530 (if it is not allready done)
4: turn off bike and 530.

All done.
