I have found a video where they test it, maybe it isI just found the Planet3 for Reign E+ 2022. But is it working good? I just wonder because of all the sensors used in the SyncDrive for the automatic support mode?
I have found video where they come out using the Planet 3.It's actually not that simple. The electronic delimiters are actually usually much better in fooling the software of the ebike's motor into thinking that everything is "normal". If a maker of a motor implements real anti tampering measures (like Bosch) they will of course easily detect the fact that there is a mechanical device that divides the signal from the magnet with some factor. Electronic tuning devices actually do the same thing but usually they try to be much smarter about it.
Ha, love your optimism but following all the other ebike 2022 launches (even non EU brands) and us brits are getting royally stiffed by everyone.. just because they can. Seriously though, you really think your going to get a a bike of that spec for £6200 you better start looking elsewhere now bud.
Was thinking how poorly this post aged and accidentally pressed reply. Have a great day
How so.. it was spot on lolWas thinking how poorly this post aged and accidentally pressed reply. Have a great day![]()
My mistake! I misread it thinking you were referring to the e1 not e0.How so.. it was spot on lol
My buddy has a delimiter fitted on the 2020 Rein(not sure what brand). He can't use the app to setup his assistance levels and can't use the app to do any updates. ✌ He needs to physically remove it and after that it is all normal again.Just curious...what about firmware updates with a chip fitted? How does that work? Do you have to avoid future updates?
Really? My X2 had 1 spacer. Medium size frame.Mibbe been covered before but wondering what psi you all are running in your X2's? Opened up my shock and it didn't have any volume spacers installed. The fork came with three installed as standard.
yeah mine is a small, interestingly although its a E1 it came with the Factory (kashima) x2 instead of the performance elite, mibbe supply issues or the original was changed out as faulty by the Giant dealer...dunno?Really? My X2 had 1 spacer. Medium size frame.
Just working my through this whole thread whilst waiting for my reign e+1 to arrive on TuesdayAnyone tested wahoo with Reign E+?
read a lot about Garmin but nothing about Wahoo integration.
Found this:
EDIT: got a wahoo Bolt I never use anymore. Would be nice to see battery level.
It works all right. I only use it to check battery %. Did a custom page for EMTB rides.Just working my through this whole thread whilst waiting for my reign e+1 to arrive on Tuesdaythis comment is relevent to though as I have a bolt and plan on using it on the new rig. How are you getting on with it?
Thanks, for the heads up ✌, I think I've seen a report about that in the german forumSomething to watch out for new Reign owners.
The round plastic cover the on the motor with the Giant logo on it is held on by double sided tape. Absolutely useless engineering. A pal lost his on his first spin and mine was hanging off after washing. Removed it and stuck it back on with Tec7.
Do it now or you'll regret it!
I did a 6 hour loop in Torridon over the weekend and after stripping the bike down yesterday found much the same ( not too bad considering the bike was in the back of the car for 3 hours in torrential rain) The crud was easily cleaned up and dried off. However, I think this grease would be a good back up.Took the cover off the motor to give it a check over and clean out any mud/water, quite a bit got in there. I took out the connectors as well to give them a check over and noticed a bit of moisture in there. Cleaned and dried them out.
I've got some of this Permatex 81150 Dielectric Tune-Up Grease anyone know if it's safe to use around the outside of the connections just to help prevent water getting in down the line? Cheers.

And no midges!!!!!Looks like an amazing day. Scotland at its finest in spring. Some blue sky and sunshine with a smattering of snow on the peaks.
And no midges!!!!!
With it alone it goes up to 37'5kmh. I don't know how giant could realize that it is unrestricted, the revolutions are higher at high speed but also when you go uphill in a high gear you pedal. someone correct me If I'm wrong.
Thanks
I still have some questions but well explained, thanks.I didn't plan to use it 100% of the time, but days when I go mostly to jump, or when I go out alone and I don't want to go slow and boring. hehee For the calculation that you mention, would it matter what mode I go in or would it not matter? I read that on the climbs if the planet3 gave some problem, that's why it has 2 magnets instead of one and reduces x1.5 instead of x3Because the systems look for abnormalities. By monitoring speed, cadence, rider input and motor output it doesn't take long to compute that constant peak power outputs whilst 'only' doing 15.5mph doesn't make sense.
You are right in a way, you could be using peak power whilst climbing a hill at 15mph but at some point you gotta come down again (using very little power and usually a high speed) so the two sorta cancel each other out and therefore the bike is happy. It takes time for the bike to average out the data, which is why error codes usually take time to flag up.
The only time you may be using peak power and 15.5mph constantly is if you are say towing something. IIRC this exact scenario came up on this forum where a rider (with a restricted bike) was given a bit of an interrogation by the LBS when he took it for a service as they suspected he had been using a dongle.
I weigh 90kg and I usually trace a friend who rides a muscular bike, both on the road and in the bike park. I have never had any errors if a significant battery consumption. heheeI still have some questions but well explained, thanks.I didn't plan to use it 100% of the time, but days when I go mostly to jump, or when I go out alone and I don't want to go slow and boring. hehee For the calculation that you mention, would it matter what mode I go in or would it not matter?
