Picked up my first emtb last weekend after owning a 25+yr old rigid GT mtb. Absolutely loving it.

Cycled over the Corrieyairack Pass from Garda Bridge near Newtonmore to Fort Augustus – about 19.5 miles and a climb of about 2500ft. Pretty rough in places and some steep climbs but well worth the effort. Despite trying to manage the battery used 90% on the trip.

Zefal Deflector FM30 "front' mudguard - fits rear fine.
It's TIGHT on the Eddy Current 2.8, keeps the pivots (and my ass) clean
I also got the FM20, which works great on my MetaPower's rear...

Sorry, another gear question - what frame bag are you using on the Allmtn8 and what size is the frame? Does the zip still function with the kink in the toptube?

LEEDS frame bag on XL bike, there probably wouldn't be room in smaller size frames. I got it to carry a second battery (fits great), but usually use it for carrying tubes, tools, extra layers etc.

No problem with zipping even with the curved downtube, it's a soft and flexible bag. There are a couple of product reviews that complain about fabric tearing, but mine hasn't torn and I've had it for more than a year. Then again I haven't used it to carry heavy stuff all that often.

My first emtb allmnt6. Great bike with long reach for 190cm biker. Had issues with dropper but rockshox reverb c1 is on its way from germany.
Winter is coming to finland soon i need to change winter tires with somekind of spikes.
Hope it doesnt snow too much in this winter like it didnt last winter either.
