Wow, recover quickly, mine was from dropping an adventure bike on my leg whilst on holidays.I'll take your, "Broken" and trump it with "The LAD Widowmaker". Still got another 10 days of recovery. Then I'll be back on my bike.
If you don't know what I'm talking about. Just Google it.

Oh and BTW. Get your heart checked regularly.
I've been told weather in February can be somewhat "bracing" especially coming from an Australian summer, unfortunately it's not my timing, meeting my son & his partner there.Ok till half an hour ago raining and windy.
Should be quieter February it's really too busy nowadays , I pity the locals trying to get about their business.I've been told weather in February can be somewhat "bracing" especially coming from an Australian summer, unfortunately it's not my timing, meeting my son & his partner there.
Totally agree with milk ..but you are missing a trick by not putting a large dollop of extra thick double cream bang in the middle and I'd sacrifice the jam for demerara sugar sprinkled on the top to give it a bit of a crunch.hot porridge with milk and homemade plumjam
Riding on island Vis in Croatia
Porridge without salt no thanksTotally agree with milk ..but you are missing a trick by not putting a large dollop of extra thick double cream bang in the middle and I'd sacrifice the jam for demerara sugar sprinkled on the top to give it a bit of a crunch.

Yeah, must be magicBike looks to clean to have gone anywhere.![]()
Your definitely a better cleaner than me. It only takes a few wet miles to get a bike filthy I find.Yeah, must be magic
Or maybe it’s just me actually cleaning the bike after every ride.
Don’t worry, it still gets its fair share of abuse, rocky descents, muddy rides, and a couple CRs to prove it isn’t just a garage queen![]()
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of muddy rides either, but around here the dust is even worse, gets into everything and only a proper wash gets it out.Your definitely a better cleaner than me. It only takes a few wet miles to get a bike filthy I find.
Impressive I must say. My lad is a fussy car cleaner I'm not. Mud is overated but hard to avoid. I'm going to Dubrovnik next month really looking forward to it.Probably too expensive to hire a bike I imagine and I would probably get lost ,we will see.To be honest, I’m not a big fan of muddy rides either, but around here the dust is even worse, gets into everything and only a proper wash gets it out.
I’m also an amateur car detailer by passion, even ceramic-coated my bikes for protection and easy cleaning, and I run hot-melt immersive wax on my chains (which BTW I highly recommend to anyone who likes a clean, long-lasting drivetrain).
So yeah, you get the idea of the freak I amCleaning and caring for my toys is equal parts joy and meditation for me.

My record 37 on tarmac then bottled it82km/hr on gravel!(51mph)
You must be certifiably insane!
When descending on nice and smooth tarmac with a long straight road ahead, (ie as easy as it could be), I start to brake as I approach 30mph (48kph). Never quite reached it yet! The thought of coming off and hitting tarmac at that speed (shudder), it would be like landing on a belt sander! My record 37 on tarmac then bottled it
Lad 51 originally from my town and friend of a friend had a bad one a couple weeks ago. Triathlon bike head down arse up went in to parked van . Fractured skull back broken in a few places hip broken and arm a mess. Putting him in and out of a induced coma . Not sure if he will walk again. Not worth it is it.When descending on nice and smooth tarmac with a long straight road ahead, (ie as easy as it could be), I start to brake as I approach 30mph (48kph). Never quite reached it yet! In the first fortnight of my first mtb, one day after an "Introduction to MTB" course, I went OTB (the full Superman!) on a gravel & cinder descent. It was almost two weeks before I could wear long sleeves or long trousers without bandages! And I still have the scars! It altered permanently my attitude to gravel at speed.![]()
