We now have the third spring and the snow has melted again. Riding on rocks is best in spring.

It started somewhere around here, the Wisdom of Maxxis-Zen by master Stihldog. 👍

Congratulations, enjoy! 👍

Talked lately with the owner of a small but fine bike shop about the revival of cross-country race bikes. I just can not understand why I would use such a bike on non-asphalt roads when having a fully resp. why run such tyres when riding on a race bike. 🤔

I agree i won't be doing anything harder than a decent forestry road it will be for touring on quiet traffic free country roads . Same with the drop bars you have no control when it goes wrong .

You might turn the drop bars upside down, like we did in the….70s?😀 So why not a simple trekking bike?

It was on tv a lot in the 60s if I remember. Lightness probably a factor but flat bars definitely more control. Mean looking dude in that picture. I had a helmet like that in 80s crazy when I think about it. Don't remember much choice back then.
