Rode by this point again on the way home today. Could see Mt. Baker a little better. (20+miles away in the U.S. of A.)

Checked off a few features on my "I should still be able to do THAT" list today in Squamish. Unfortunately one of those things was "see if you can do a bunch of steep slabs and not get brake fade."
Squamish is pretty steep. But we DON't ride here! They do rock climbing on this side of the mountain.
Squamish has lots of trees and the trails are mostly loam and grippy granite.
But if you ride slabs all day, your brakes may fade at in opportune moments.
And the crash....

( Isle of Skye )on you tube is worth a look. I walked up them a couple of years ago amazing friction bent right over and still managing to walk.

Remy makes it all look so easy! There are so many unsanctioned trails in Squamish that are way more difficult than I could imagine riding. One of my favorite videos of his is the drone footage he made as it actually shows how ridiculous the places are where he and few others are able to ride.

Here's a few pics from last week in Southwest Utah. 200 million years ago, it was a giant lake where dinosaurs stomped around leaving their footprints and getting fat on succulent ichthyosaurs. As time marched on, much of the lake bed washed away, leaving undulating sandstone mesas hundreds of feet above the canyons below.

Today’s ride had everything, mountain, river, coast, ridge, beach, and finished off with 3 courses and a bottle of plonk for 14 euros, viva espana x. 60 nm was definitely tested today and passed with flying colours. 32 km ride with 923 mtrs elevated and still 2 bars of battery left on the FAZUA 430wh, love it

I find the FAZUA to be very good. The range is bonkers. I get the same as my 800wh battery in my giant Trance. It’s very quiet and the 60nm max is perfect for my level right now. Ring control could be better, but does the job, had no issues with it so far, plus paid £4600 for the bike so, you know

No street ride 50 I think .
Cairn e adventure 1.0 Rival. Need a spare battery as I intend touring with it. Sick of getting covered in mud on my Levo Expert.

Looks ideal for touring, 14kg and 250 watts @58 nm should fly. Let us know how you find it after a few rides

I have a Lapierre Ezesty and a Look E765 gravel and both have the Ride 50. Apart from a proclivity for hydrophobia I've had a great experience so far. Lower power but correspondingly lower weight. 13.6 for the Look I believe. Support cuts at 25kph in line with Euro regs but Fazua support told me 'if you want a moped for the trails it will never be Fazua". I read a lot of negative feedback, much of it a result of the bike manufacturers shortcomings but on the occasions I've needed support Fazua have been exemplary. They don't hesitate to phone me (in New Zealand!) in their very early morning to dial in and remedy or check a problem such as recallibration and when I had a water issue with my drivepack (see hydrophobia) a replacement was provided without hesitation or delay. Its for a cyclist and offers support, not an alternative to pedaling. Don't hose it down, use a neoprene downtube sleeve in the wet, buy a spare battery and don't read the forums

So it doesn't like water like most ebikes. Im paranoid now after going through a few motors on my levo. I will probably use it more on roads and put on full touring type sks mudguards. I got out last night, had a hell of a laugh because the conditions were so bad and the cow pat field were so wet, splashy and sinky! Found a cool tunnell under the rail line, that got gradually smaller! The halfway stop for a pint was welcomed though.
And we wonder why the motors get corrosion etc
or do we. Mucky ride that I can nearly smell the sharn from here.
Yuk, what a mess!
