Nice build! Regarding the inserts, why did you put Cushcore on the front wheel and the Tubolight on the back wheel?

i had chushcore in front and behind on ff levo at first, but wanted to save weight. tubolight has proven to be sufficient rim protection. I use cushcore on the front tire because it provides more lateral support. a friend had the problem that he pulled the tire off the rim when moving the rear wheel (curve with endo, don't know the right expression for it in english) with low tire pressure (17psi) I've been using the setup on the ff levo for 1 year without any problems. that's why I installed it on the SL too
... today i was able to move the bike in the terrain -> ingenious, awesome. agile and also smooth-running. feels great, I am very happy!

Hello everyone! I recently bought a Levo SL carbon. I have a problem, hopefully you can help me. I need to change the derraileur cable because it is not working. I believe the cable might solve the problem because it feels stuck when you shift through gears. The thing is when I talked to the shop they told me they needed to take down the motor just to change the cable which feels a little weird to me. Can I just change the cable by pushing the new one in without taking down the motor? thanks!

Yeah no need to drop the motor. I took mine out no issue when I swapped to axs

Has anyone updated yet? Trying to work out if it’s worth the trip to the bike shop as would prefer to take it to Berkshire Turbo (about 1.5 hours away). The time is the first concern, the bigger concern is I’ll buy another bike whilst I wait…..

Updated 26/05/2021 at the bike shop; took them under 10 minutes to do whilst a waited. Seems a decent upgrade to me.

When riding at slow speed on minimal gradient power could be delivered too quickly causing the bike to surge forward at an excessive acceleration. I.e. acceleration needs to be tamed depending on conditions (rider input, gradient, etc.).

Hello there,
I'm new here, 30 years old from Germany.

I have got this 2 levos (bmw version and the expert), mondraker, the heckler and levo sl comp carbon over the last years.
The sl was and is the perfect bike for me and I enjoy every ride. Don't need the full power of the normal e-bike.

Now I have had the chance to get an S-Works sl for a good price and couldn't resist. I ve got it from Itali and after riding the first hours Unfortunately, a very loud rattle from the motor can now be clearly heard, even at a low cadence.

Have any of you already experienced how Specialized deals with such a case? A local dealer said he could remove the engine and complain for warranty, but would take a service charge of € 200. Find it a little too much to be honest.
So maybe another dealer would take it over, but just because he complains doesn't mean that Specialized would accept it. The noises are clear, I've driven several levos and the engine occasionally cuts out.
I can also send the bike to Italy and the dealer would take care of it, but if possible I would like to avoid that.

hey all, new member and new to Emtbs. Just got a new 2021 SL and love it. I am coming off a 2017 Stumpy.

I currently live in Italy so I will get some great use out of the SL for the next 2 years. Will be moving back to Florida after so I am not sure if the SL will be of any use there. I sure hope so.

I reach through all the posts on this thread and I am eager to get started. First upgrade will be the AXS SRAM then hopefully wheels.

Hi,
I wanted to check the torque on the motor mounting bolts today. It occurred to me that there was no T30 on the drive side as described in the manual, but rather T20 and T25 screws. The instruction manual does not seem to be up to date.
Where can I find up-to-date instructions and how much torque should the screws be tightened with?

the t20 just secures the bashplate, undo it and youll find the t30 motor mount bolt underneath it.

I’ve been on the fence for weeks and finally took the plunge after reading all the excellent and informative posts on here. First outing last night on my new Levo SL Expert was a ride (in the dark) to the summit of Snowdon! I ride with a group of younger and fitter friends who all have analogue bikes and I’m always dropped on any climb. But riding the SL gave me just enough of a boost to keep up (and lead the pack) … it transformed my experience. Descending was a revelation too. Not only is the bike really supportive, but because I was less tired after the climbs I had enough energy to do better on the downhills.
